We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! It was mostly quiet, besides some road noise from the highway right behind the house. The porch swing was the perfect spot to watch the squirrels, birds, and a rather large storm that came through. We will definitely be planning another stay here!

The location of the property is beautiful and peaceful. You are able to walk down to the lake and take a nice walk around it. There is a lovely yard for the kids to run around and play in. The home is spacious and offers a fireplace which is nice.However, this house needs a desperate cleaning! The floors need to be scrubbed. You need to wear shoes inside because your feet or socks will turn black quickly. You can feel them stick to the floor when you walk around. There is a layer of dust over the bathroom ledges around the counter. There was trash left in the bottom of the kitchen trash can. Only 2 of the 3 beds were made, and the third unmade bed has a broken leg, so the bed sits at a slant. The couch needs a good vacuum. OVerall the home needs a top to bottom GOOD cleaning. There was not shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the restrooms (not a big deal, but usually customary with VRBO homes). THERE WAS NO TOILET PAPER ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE! After arriving after a 5-hour drive with 4 kids, I had to get back in the car and go get TP. I messaged the host about this, and she claimed she did not get the message.I have traveled all around and stayed in many homes; the cleanliness of this one does not meet the standards.

Great place to stay

Property was just liked described and in photos. Great access to the water, even though it was too cold for us to enjoy. The view was amazing. Would definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Great Property

This was such a great property. The front yard is fenced in and it was great for our pup. We were right on the water and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the swing. I can't say enough about this property.

That's where all the bowls were. I spent hours on my first day cleaning and doing laundry, including some dirty towels we found in various places. The deck outside is nice. Two friendly neighborhood dogs hung around with us now and then. Some people might not appreciate that, especially if they brought their own, and they didn't get along. The beds were comfy, and the linens smelled clean of detergent. That's the highlight.IMO, VRBO should de-list this place. It's the least clean and poorly equipped (cheap old kitchen implements) of the five or so I've rented. The post-rental housekeeper fell down on the job. Latisha (our host) was polite and quickly responsive in her communications when I asked questions.

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time. The views are absolutely gorgeous. My only complaint is that one of the beds is definitely leaning downhill like it may be broken. We just put our heads on the other end and rolled with it. Didn’t bother us at all.

This little cottage was perfect for my husband our two year old and our nephew! The host was absolutely amazing and the house was perfect for us! We could drive the boat up to the property and come and go as we pleased! The house was clean and the WiFi for bed time was great! We will definitely be back!

It was nice and cozy. Had all amenities listed. Nice to walk down to water to ur watercraft and boat. Owner answered all questions and was very nice. Only drawback was the nosy neighbor next door.

Amazing

If you are looking for a place to just get away. This is it! We had everything we needed! Our kids had a blast swimming at lake and fishing. Everything we needed was already there. The nature surrounding the property was incredible from birds to squirrels to even a few deer. Will definitely be back!!!

Great Host

Overall the host was extremely attentive and provided prompt responses to all my questions from the moment I booked! Generally the house was fine and suited our needs. However, I chose this property based on many reviews that stated the property was very clean or had 5 stars for cleanliness. I was disappointed as that wasn’t my impression. We had to wash several dishes that were not clean (albeit, these weren't plates that typically go through the dishwasher, more like pots and pans, which would be very difficult to know unless you inspected every dish upon a guests departure... so I get its not the hosts fault, but still disappointing as it wasn't just one thing). The sponge in the kitchen was used, wet and smelled. In my experience with VRBOs there is usually a new, packaged sponge waiting, or very clearly it is brand new without packaging. No clean ones under the sink to replace with either. The dishwasher was full upon arrival (clean, at least), as was the washer AND dryer. Needed dishes from the dishwasher so we unloaded. When we went to use the washer and dryer on the night before we leaving, we had two loads of towels / sheets to fold. Nothing out of the norm for Moms, but not ideal for a vacation! As I said, Latisha was extremely responsive to questions we had or things we needed, these were just some things that were disappointing for a rental that I haven't encountered in other places!
