Jewel box of a house. Fantastic location - we could walk to town, the beach, the grocery and avoid the hassle of Hamptons traffic. We will definitely be back!

Charming East Hampton Home

We enjoyed our stay at this Charming East Hampton home. The house was adorable and outside space perfect for a family summer vacation. An easy bike ride to beaches and downtown for an idyllic summer feel.

East Hampton Getaway

We had a great time at this beautiful designer home in East Hampton. The location is great - easy walk to Main Street and all the shops, grocery store, and restaurants, and a quick block or two to a cute little coffee and doughnut shop and local restaurant in the neighborhood. Easy bike ride to the beach and Kanh Sports will drop off and pick up bike rentals. We biked every day! Yard is fully fenced in if traveling with pets. Landscaping offers total privacy. Back has a lovely small heated pool and patio. The home has been restored with a discerning eye - stylish and updated while maintaining the old home character. Although it is a smaller house, it lives larger. The main living room was our main lounge area and worked easily for two adults and two teenagers (and dogs!) for movie nights. Dining room table easily fits a family for dinners and doubles for game nights. Bedrooms were petite but well done with comfy beds and lovely linens. Overall would highly recommend!

Nice house challenging stay

Would love to give it 4 stars but there were some hiccups during our stay that the property manager/owner could handle better. We stayed for 2 full days and on the second day there was a lawn project that took 4 hours around the pool. This took up a lot of our kids pool time and if we had known this ahead of time we would have planned around it. The primary room was also infested by ants - I would understand a few in the summer but there were quite a bit on the ceiling and would fall on the bed. I complained to the property manager and they had someone come but by - additionally the exterminator agreed it would be unsafe to spray in the house given two small children. The cleaning was not as thorough as they had said it would be. Found Narcan in the drawer which was unsettling as we have two small children and if that was in the drawer what else could be around. The house is small and in a great location overall it was fine outside these things. I told the property manager that in our experience when you rent a home there is a folder with information you may need to know - ie trash pick up, pool maintenance days, yard work etc. as well as guidelines for the house.

Hosting Marisabel was the worst nightmare for us. She put this much effort into writing a negative review only because we refused to refund her for issues she exaggerated or created. Guests who stayed just a day before her had no complaints about ants, she was the one who brought it up to our attention, then specifically asked us not to schedule pest control during her stay. Afterward, she used it against us. We have a standing contract with a landscaping company, and while they may occasionally show up during a guest’s stay, they leave immediately if asked which she never did until they had already finished. She repeatedly threatened to leave a bad review if we didn’t refund her some money, but we didn’t.

East Hampton stay

This is a very well maintained home in a great location. The size is smaller than what is represented in the graphics but I would still highly recommend. It has been completely and very tastefully renovated. Regarding Blockstreet you can only communicate through the portal. No phone contact and no personal representative and this is where my stay ended on a bad note. Through Blockstreet, I had requested daily housekeeping services that they required I prepay for before sending the cleaning ladies over on the first day, which I did. I ended up having to leave to fly back to my home a couple of days early and informed them 24 hours in advance and asked that they cancel the housekeeping (the ladies had come in for an hour or two each day and I happily paid them $180.00 for each day.There were only two of us so it was a very easy clean)and received no response. The next day I reached out again to let them know that I had vacated the home and, again, asked for confirmation that housekeeping had been cancelled and for a refund of the two days I would not require their service. No reply. I reached out again and let them know that I had received no reply and the only response I received was "when did you leave the house". I, again, asked for the two day housekeeping refund and received a reply that because I had "prepaid" (their requirement) I then asked to send me documentation showing the service was non refundable and they have completely ceased communication.

Jeff, We understand that you ended your stay early because you wished to return home for a personal issue. You prepaid for additional daily cleaning, however, our cleaning contractor does not allow cancellations and refunds without a 7 day notice and yet you attempted to cancel with only 2 days of notice. This is within the our standard policy that VRBO shares ahead of bookings. We are very happy that you liked the decor of the house and we'd love to host you again anytime!

Property was comfortable and well furnished. Our only suggestion would be to remove or isolate a lot of the personal belongings as it felt like we were staying at a friend's house versus having more of a private stay in a high-end home.

Thanks Greg. We actually have supplied a lot of items for guests to use while they stay at the house, and they have very much appreciated that. Hope you are able to join us again and take advantage of more of the amenities that the house offers
