We loved the location of this VRBO. It was right on the beach, 3 pools (2 smaller with less crowds), small convenience store outside the complex and supermarket within a 5 minute walk. We were also very close to other shops and restaurants (15 minute walk).

The host was absolutely great to work with and responded quickly to our questions and messages. The location right on the beach was fabulous but the condo needed some maintenance upkeep...broken drawers, broken toilet seat, shower head squirting water all over the wall instead of down on the person showering. With a little TLC, it would be a great place to stay.

Overall, we had a very positive experience staying here. We had 2 families with 3 kids aged 3 and under so the 4 bedrooms and large kitchen/dining room area were key. The location was also ideal - 2 min walk to pool, 3 min to beach. An Oxxo right beside the building as well as a large grocery store about a 6-7 min walk. The condo is a bit rundown (as others have noted) - loose faucet in bathroom, toilets running, screen doors all broken, etc. Hot water only lasts 2-3 mins in shower (bit better if you bring flow down as much as possible). This stuff didn’t really bother us but important to note. Concierge was very helpful and responded relatively quickly whenever we reached out. A there.

Great location

For the price and location, this property can not be beat. A quick bus ride from anywhere on the Hotel Zone strip, this was a wonderful place. Some of the items were broken, but this did not affect the ability to use the property and aside from being small inconveniences, they were not a bug issue. Overall great place to stay on the beach.

Spacious Retreat on the Beach

Very great location at the beach and the condo was very spacious and clean. Did have an issue with the hot water heater twice during my week stay but was fixed promptly. Communication with the host was very good. Big supermarket and shopping right across the street. The community is also right next to a hospital. Very convenient to get groceries for cooking. Has a guard at the gate and at the pools. Very safe and secure.

The condo was in poor to fair condition. Cabinets and drawers in kitchen and bedrooms were falling off and would not shut properly. Ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms were not properly attached to the ceiling and were not used due to safety concerns. Sinks in two bathrooms were not draining properly. Showers had cracked tiles, rusted shower heads and broken drains. Host demanded I contact and supply information OFF the VRBO app, which VRBO specifically states not to do. Overall we would not recommend staying here.

Great Location

We had a good time at Villas Marlin. The location is great and the beach and views were amazing. The unit we stayed in was nice but needed some TLC. The plumbing fixtures were all pretty old and didn't work the greatest. Some of the closest doors were broken, etc. Unit did not have a dryer and with the winds from the ocean, it was hard to wash clothes and get them dried hanging from the balcony without fear of them blowing away. The staff who work there all seemed very friendly. The pools were nice, but there were no hot tubs which is a must from those of us coming from cold climates that look forward to using them. The Soriana supermarket is across the street and it was nice to be able to load up on groceries and have everything we needed. To summarize; a good spot for the money that would be even better with some basic upgrades.
