Chiggers can be out in the tall grassy areas from May-July, insect repellent recommended! We also have natural things like thorns, poison Ivy, all sorts of insects and wild animals like snakes, deer, foxes, rabbits,etc... please don’t leave food out and watch children at all times!
The cabin does have a small hot water heater due to size limitations:)
Owner has severe skin allergies and does all the cleaning and laundry. We have strict no pet policy and CANNOT accommodate animals of any kind, PLEASE do not ask for exceptions.Cable TV and ground internet are not available here in the woods. Limited jet pack Wi-Fi is available for use.

We live nearby and you may see us out walking, working in one of our gardens or landscaping, but we respect your privacy and are only available if you need us. Each cabin has its own private areas, but you may see other guests walking and exploring outside too.
This cottage is located in remote dense woods. Tyler is 15 minutes away and has attractions, shopping and restaurants for a fun weekend getaway! The Cabin is secluded in the woods, walking distance to Lake Palestine and short 15 minute drive to Tyler. There is a cell tower nearby but not visible from the porch.
Brookshire grocery store is a 5 minute drive. A few fast food and 1 BBQ joint nearby. The Villages Lake Marina and Chandler River Park both within 10 minutes for boats or kayaking!

Can walk to waterfront bluff, explore the woods a bit, or walk over and soak in our community hot tub, on a large deck located in a wooded setting with outdoor string Edison lighting! You're welcome to walk the trails around the cabin. The Villages Marina is 10 minutes away. You can go to the lake for viewing sunsets, swimming or fishing all at your own risk. It is not a public swimming area, just a natural shoreline. Parking is close by and each cabin has its own trail, please follow your designated drive only! 15 minutes to the city of Tyler
We have an outdoor game area set up so enjoy a round of corn hole while catching a view of the Lake! Our cabins are more for getting outdoors not so much for movie watching as we have limited internet and zero cable available here:)
Sit on the front porch and enjoy the birds singing and build a campfire at night!
Walk down to the lake bluff and watch the sunset! You can explore the trails around our property. Walk over to the community hot tub for an evening soak. Or just stay on the private porch sipping coffee and looking for bald eagles on the lake! The large private fire pit area is a great spot to Stargaze and watch the sunset through the trees!
The Cabin is perfect for romantic getaways. What makes it unique is the compact luxury/roughness. Come see to understand. It is ideal for couples, but can accommodate a small family. We have a fun outdoor game area near this cabin for our guests to enjoy outdoor games with a view of the Lake!

We are rural, but it is a 15 minute drive into the city of Tyler for all the conveniences needed!
Brookshire grocery is only 2 miles away and has all you need for making a romantic dinner or quick breakfast!
Parking is right at the cabin, but it is all gravel roads.
