This apartment is perched ten easy steps from a magnificent stretch of Maine beach. But don't expect sand and sunbathing! It's characteristically and dramatically Maine, with rock ledges and boulders and rocks of all sizes. You can absolutely walk, peer into tide pools at low tide, commune with the crashing waves and sea birds—and leave every stress and worry behind. The property is also a 5-minute walk from a lovely forested trail in the Rachel Carson Salt Pond Preserve, and within easy driving distance of SO MANY wonderful Maine sights and activities—picturesque coves and harbors with bobbing boats, locally-made ice cream, wharf side restaurants, lighthouses, and souvenir shopping, etc. We arrived late, and Carl went out of his way to be available to direct us in the dark. He also responded INSTANTANEOUSLY to our very few questions. The mid-century modern aesthetic in the apartment is very appealing, and the deck was irresistible. Easy access to a washer and dryer! The kitchen is very well-stocked, so making meals at home was a breeze. If you've been considering visiting Maine—or have definite plans to—STAY HERE!
