Location! Location! Location! Hikers, Bikers, Climbers and outdoor enthusiast dream. Walking distance through short local trail to the best hiking and climbing in the Gunks!. Enjoy heated pool, heated bench, hot tub, firepit and high end household amenities from the furniture to the linens. Wifi, smart TVs, fireplace, this property has it ALL!!!! Wonderful and welcoming home for children with many amenities for families and we are pet friendly :). Close to town and lots of great dining options. Perfect in every way!

The views of the Gunks (the mountains) blew our minds. The heated pool was so relaxing and fun! The beds were great! The showers had plenty of water with plenty of pressure, even with ten of us using them. We found the kitchen easy to cook in and we had some gourmet meals! Loved the unbreakable glasses and dishes for deck dining. Enjoyed the S’Mores fixings you left us- thank you! The caretaker Austin was friendly and responsive. Excellent experience! We loved it and hated to leave.

The perfect NYC getaway!

My friends and I had an amazing stay at this property. It’s in a great location (only 90 min from NYC) and close to town with hiking, great food, and thrift/antique shopping. Check in was a breeze and the house itself was spotless. The property was serene with great views and plenty of activities, including a hot tub. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy Mountain retreat with modern amenities

We had a wonderful stay. The real fire place in the living room was a wonderful touch. Great for playing games with friends and family on a cold night. The Hot tub with a view was probably my favorite part. I would recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise in the kitchen with views of the mountain, it makes for a great cup of coffee.

Perfect family venue

The variety of spaces offered great places for people to work remotely and for toddlers to play. The pool was perfect for two beginning swimmers and a lap swimmer. The grounds and house were clean and tidy.

Relaxing long weekend getaway in a gorgeous property with amazing views

We had a wonderful long weekend stay for my birthday celebration. Smores by the fire pit, seeing the fall tree colors with the mountains in the backdrop and cooking meals with fresh produce and meat from the local farmers market was exactly what we were looking for. The property is well appointed and it was so relaxing. The kids had a blast playing outside and it was definitely a memorable and lovely experience.

Wonderful house and location for family reunion.

Family from five different states met for a long weekend. The house was perfect with tons of room for meals, board games, football watching and hanging out. Bedrooms are generously sized, views from all the windows were stunning with the fall colors and the location was great for visiting the sights within 30-40 minutes.

A short summer stay

We had an amazing time at New Paltz. The hotub was perfect on those cool summer nights and the area had so much to do from hiking to visiting the Hudson whiskey disterally right down the road. When we arrived the place was clean and tidy and the pool water was the perfect temperature. We will def be coming back next year!

Amazing family weekend upstate!

Everything about the weekend from the house, location, amenities, etc. was 10/10! The house is brand new and beautiful - very well maintained and had plenty of room for our large group. Shannon was a great hosts and super responsive to all my messages and questions. Their house manager Austin was also great and came to the house to fix an issue we had with the grill. Would definitely recommend this property - we cannot wait to come back!

Magical weekend getaway

I wish I could give 6 stars. The property is in a perfect location and only minutes away from the best restaurants (Clay, Westwind, Inness, etc.), trails and distilleries. The house is so tranquil and peaceful and views of the mountain tops are picturesque. The hosts really went above and beyond to make our stay special (fire pits, s’more kits, hot tub and endless amenities). Such a memorable experience- I’ll definitely be back!

Perfect location/Stunning home

We are regular travelers and would rate Shannon & Dave’s place as one of the nicest, best located, and coziest of all the places we have stayed. The house was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, and was easy access to some of the best restaurants/views in the area. Communication was great too and answered any questions we had. We would highly recommend this stunning property if you're looking for a beautiful weekend getaway upstate! (Dog friendly, pool, hot tub & firepit was such plus too!)

Beautiful home, well stocked and immaculately maintained, with great outdoor space, including beautiful pool and hot tub, and magnificent view of the Gunks, conveniently located a short drive from the town of New Paltz, and myriad spectacular hikes, including the incomparable Shawangunk mountains and the sprawling Mohonk Preserve. Extraordinary getaway

We were so impressed by this property. This was our first experience renting and this home was just amazing! We were so happy with our choice. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely entertaining!!! We really enjoyed visiting nearby places such as the farm, restaurants and distillery. The kitchen was amazing and we enjoyed cooking together. Additionally, the owners are lovely. We can’t wait to plan our next visit.

Wow - beyond expectations

An absolute gem! This is a luxurious mountain home that exceeded all of our expectations. We didn't know what to expect going in, but I'm glad we went for it. From the heated pool to the linens and everything in between, it's clear that every detail has been thoughtfully curated. Loved the convenience of the local trails and the proximity to town. I wish we stayed longer, we'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend! P.s. - the hot tub is awesome.

Family Getaway

We just got back from the most relaxing stay at this beautiful home and we can’t say enough great things about it. When we arrived, there was an adorable home made s’mores kit left on the counter for us to use at the fire pit! Our kids loved this!! The house is gorgeous and the view from the kitchen windows is breathtaking! Everything was spotless and so beautifully decorated. We had so much fun the pool all day and hot tub at night, followed by the amazing heated bench outside!! We also dined at a few great restaurants at night, although our kids would’ve been happy to just stay at the house, as there was so much for them to do lol!!!! If you’re looking for a family friendly & tranquil getaway, this is definitely the place for you. We can’t wait to come back here!! Thank you so much for opening your home to us Shannon & Dave!

This was our second time staying here and it has become such a special place to us! We don’t have enough good things to say about the host, property & area. The second we walked into the house, it was SPOTLESS and we were greeted by the property manager and a s’mores kit to kick off the weekend! 😊 My fiancé and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and it was the perfect romantic getaway we were looking for! The foliage view in the backyard paired with 2 glasses of wine on the heated bench was probably our favorite part. There’s also so many great spots to check out in the area and most are dog friendly which our pups loved just as much as us! Clay & Mohonk are a personal favorite and definitely recommend checking out nearby state park for great hiking!! We absolutely love it here & hope to keep visiting in the future!

Amazing New Paltz home with epic views

Just loved this amazing rental at the foot of the Gunks in the Hudson Valley. The house fit us all perfectly for a relaxing family reunion. The indoor space is wonderfully appointed, has tons of natural light, all brand new remodeling with a large welcoming kitchen. Loved the large marble island that seats 12! Yes, 12! Lots of places indoors to rest and play, all while taking in the views from every window. Wow! The indoor shuffle board in the game room was a hit for my gang. And, watching the sun set outside from the heated bench was so perfect. The owners offer lots of outdoor lounging and upscale seating on the pool deck, by the hot tub, around the fire pit and the dining on the patio. We took full advantage of the local hikes and waterfalls since we had such great weather. We will definitely be back. Thanks Shannon and Dave.

Idyllic; couldn’t have been better

Not sure where to begin with this property - it was one of our best rental vacations yet. The pictures are stunning but don’t do the home and views justice. The home is immaculate, well stocked, and beautifully curated and decorated. Gorgeous pool, fire pit, deck with grill, hot tub, heated bench. The vista is unparalleled — I cannot imagine a better view of the Shawnagunk mountains. Our plan had been to do outings to the charming towns that surround the home but we found it very challenging to leave the house! But the location is perfect. Some fun activities were: strolling New Paltz, brunch at Wildflower Farms (reserve ahead of time), picking up sandwiches from the Disgruntled Chef and eating them out by the pool, and a visit to Willow Pond Sheep Farm, which has the absolute best yogurt we’ve ever eaten, and let our kids watch the running of the sheep / the sheep get milked! We were a few families; my 4 year old kept asking what would happen if we stayed for 100 days instead of 3. A beautiful home! Thanks Sharon. We’ll be back.

Awesome!!!

Three generations of our family had an amazing one week stay in this perfect setting and I would highly recommend it. The property is even better than the pictures show online and the view is priceless. The house was clean, nothing was broken and there was no musty odor. It has everything you would need or want and more. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic food supplies. The location is quiet, safe, only five minutes from Mohonk Preserve hiking and less than fifteen minutes to New Paltz for shopping and restaurants. The WiFi was good. It supported all the computers and cell phones for eight people plus streaming on two televisions. The highlight for our family was the heated pool and hot tub with views of the Gunks plus a firepit for making the supplied S'mores kit. The pool was equipped with floats for everyone. enough comfortable seating, umbrellas and plenty of pool towels. Communication with the owners during booking was excellent and they quickly responded to all my email questions. Austin, the caretaker, is a tremendous asset. He was helpful, informative and quickly answered or replied to my calls and emails. We would definitely return to the property for our next stay without hesitation.

Beautiful house, horrible owner that will continue to charge you after you leave

This house is beautiful however be prepared to deal with a horrible owner. Even before our stay, I had asked if we could do a late check out and the owner agreed. Then once we booked she went back on her word and said she would only accommodate late check out for longer stays. Finally after begging for months they accommodated a last minute early check in. We treated the house with such care, including stripping all beds, wiping surfaces and even power washing the patio! After the trip I got a $425 charge for things that my group did not damage. For example, it was said that we “soiled” a bed. When I told the owner there was no way that happened, she admitted that they had never taken the mattress protector off (gross) so it could have been from a group before us. Yet they did not reverse the charge. Beware if you stay in this house you will be paying way more than the listed price. I’d say find another house - there are plenty with more trustworthy owners.
