Our home is a is two levels with a basement area. The main level bedroom is accessible without steps if needed. The fenced in backyard is nice area to relax with family. We have two kings, a queen, a trundle and full size futon. The home is walkable to Milwaukee Brewers stadium and other excellent restaurants. There is public transportation a block away which is a strait shot into heart of downtown, otherwise less than 10 mins by Uber or car.

Wauwatosa is a suburb of Milwaukee and offers a family friendly area which is known for its safety and peacefulness. It is central to all main attractions and only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of heart of downtown. This area is home of young professionals, families and others who want to relax and unwind. You will find that it is walkable and home to many key family attractions including the Milwaukee Brewers stadium, Wisconsin State Fair Park, the Milwaukee Zoo, the Menomonee River Parkway and many other notable parks. You will also find top rated restaurants and shopping in the area.

The place seemed very homie. It was comfy and just a quiet slice of heaven. Great location right near a freeway so we had so many options on things to do. Would rent again.

Great house with great location

We stayed during a family visit—the property was only about 5-10 minutes from everywhere we needed to go! We had plenty of space for the kids and the unit was thoughtfully stocked. We enjoyed some games and meals at the large table. Communication with the host was prompt and efficient. Overall, a great experience.

This house was clean, cozy, and a perfect sanctuary for us while our group was in town helping build the new Turf skatepark. We really appreciate your hospitality and the easy and professional experience we had checking in and out. This house was in a great location! You’re a 10-15 minute drive to almost anywhere in downtown Milwaukee. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Andrew was a great host to work with. We stayed at the end of November and when we checked in, we noticed that the house was cold. We quickly realized that the window air conditioning units had not been removed for winter. Talked with Andrew and the issue was resolved quickly. Very nice house with plenty of room. Nice and clean! I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Brewers Game

We stayed here a couple nights to catch a brewers game. The house was clean and comfortable. It was an easy walk, less than a mile, to the stadium and in a quiet neighborhood. The owners were very easy to deal with and responsive.

Exactly what we needed…

When we stay in a VRBO we always feel so grateful for the opportunity to share in someone’s personal space. There is a history and a story in each home. This home was exactly what we needed: plenty of space for sleeping, cooking, relaxing and reminiscing while in conversation. So much more valuable than a hotel and truly providing us with more memories. Meals, conversations and the Brewers all integral in creating family memories. This place was great. We found a few good restaurants in Wauwatosa: Buckabaton, Jose’s Blue Sombrero and Liffy’s. We will be back!

Nice clean house in Wauwatosa

Check in was easy, nice quiet neighborhood. House was well stocked and clean, with a nice backyard. We did however receive a parking ticket on our first night for parking on the street despite following the directions of calling the local PD and requesting street parking. After the first night, we spoke to the neighbor and she said we could fit our 3 cars in the driveway (we were under the impression the left side of the driveway belonged to her) My advice would be just park all the cars in the driveway to avoid the headache.

There were so many little things that made this house annoying to our 60 year old group. Filthy carpet, kitchen floors were sticky upon entry and needed a rewatch, 3 bulbs burned out. Non compliant stair rails, steep and narrow stairs to the upstairs bedrooms, dishwasher needing oil, clothes washer filled with musty bedding and caked in mold and old detergent, ceilings in 3 rooms with large holes, and heater in the master without any cover, no rail for stair upon entry. We have done a lot of VRBOs and never a complaint. This one was bad news, especially for sr. Citizens. We did not speak to the host during the trip because we all felt that would cause further annoyance and we did not want to ruin our time there. It is my opinion that the host may be unaware of some of these matters but the place needs serious maintenance attention.

The Property Needs Some Attention

While the location, limited noise and size were in line with our needs and expectations, the condition of the property and what we consider standard amenities were a huge disappointment. The unit has damage (e.g., kitchen chair, blinds, dishes, etc.) and was very dirty (dishes, floors, cutting board, etc.) likely causing the infestation of bugs. Cooking utensils, silverware and even bath washcloths were limited. TV streaming service in main level bedroom doesn't work, and even that "bedroom" is really a living room with a cloths rack. We departed a day early and will not return.

I'm sorry, but this is a bit ridiculous, as part of the house rules the guest needs to report any issue, Michael DID NOT contact us once even after reaching out when we requested their response ensuring if there stay was to thier expectations. It is truely odd they would wait until after thier stay to report such resolvable issues. (BTW these issues were not verified) My guess is that this review is in retaliation due to the broken house rules and the fact that they did not leave at the designated time.

There was a used frying pan of grease in one of the cabinets in the kitchen when we checked in!! The place smelled like old cigarettes and nasty carpet. The beds upstairs were lumpy and pillows were flat. There was garbage in bedroom closets upstairs and the rooms were not adequately furnished.We actually tried to figure out a way to get out of the rental on the first night. We were embarrassed that we had to share the house with my brother and sister-in-law.If you want a old Motel 6 experience....this is your place
