For the price paid, this property did not meet basic VRBO safety or listing standards.The master bedroom did not have a smoke alarm—it is clear where one had previously been installed but was missing (photo available). The outside parking area had no exterior lighting, creating an unsafe condition after dark. The shower handle spins continuously, making it difficult to regulate water temperature and presenting a potential scalding risk. The listing indicates a first aid kit is provided, but there was no information indicating its location.There were additional maintenance issues, including a leaking kitchen faucet and a fireplace that is extremely loud, making it impractical to use. The kitchen was described as fully stocked, but basic items such as a complete set of measuring spoons and a cheese grater were missing.There were no check-out instructions or welcome/house guide provided.These are not minor inconveniences. The missing smoke alarm and lack of exterior lighting alone warrant a lower rating, and all issues should be corrected before future guests stay here.
