Hi Heather, We are delighted to hear that you had a great time & it sounds as though our presence & assistance with the many amenities offered enhanced your Group's experience! From reading your feedback it appears you enjoyed your stay but had two reasons for lowering our rating. I'd like to address your two reasons and shed light on them so your future Hosts do not also suffer such a blow to their rating for reasons that are out of a Host's control. First, you booked an "Apartment" and then expected what you described as a "standalone" experience. This makes it apparent you are unaware of the difference between an "Apartment" and a "Home" on vacation booking platforms. We are clearly categorized and Titled as an "Apartment" on these sites. The heading of "Apartment" is how these sites inform you upfront that you may be sharing spaces like a yard, driveway, and in some cases, not ours, but walls. Second, your comments reveal that you felt your group's sleeping needs were not met. If you had read the property description before booking, very early after the words "Apartment" you would have viewed the section where we explain the way guests "Can" "Maximize" Sleeping Arrangements to accommodate 12". Early in our property description, it details and tallies all the beds & bed types, explaining how 4 Queen beds "could" fit 8 people, and so on and so on. We even boldly announce in this section that our calculations are VERY "dependant on each Groups Sleeping preferences". For groups willing to share beds this property comfortably accommodates 12. The only conclusion I come to is that your group was made up of singles who did not wish to share beds as platonic friends. Back to your 4-star rating. It may seem benign but it is "dreaded" by us Hosts as Vrbo and other sites translate your 4-star to indicate that you experienced "Major issues" with the property or your Host. It can take years to come back from a 4 star and sometimes we cannot. The fact that we have signage in the kitchen of the property you spent 3 days in warning Guests of the dreaded 4-star rating yet you still delivered one makes my stomach turn! Coincidentally your TWO reasonings reveal TWO things... 1.) That you didn't read the property's Title or its description, likely booking solely on the basis of a lower price. 2.) That your group was made up of single people, who were uncomfortable sharing beds as platonic friends. Lastly, You also stated that our pictures & captions mislead you as to the bed types you would have. I have reviewed them and yet again you are confused as there is no error or falsity in them. This property has 4 Queen beds, 1 bunk bed, 1 single bed, and a non-pull-out couch. People can sleep in them as they wish, maximized or 1 person per queen bed, this is out of our control! In the future, I hope you read property descriptions and their headings and please "filter " out "Apartments" so you get your "Standalone" experience.
