Family-friendly lakefront cabin with large outdoor space!

Walk out the door and you're right on beautiful Stevenson Lake. This house is truly lakefront with no steps to walk down. Conveniently located just south of Clare and 20 minutes north of Mt. Pleasant. Stevenson Lake is a great lake for fishing, tubing, swimming, kayaking or just floating. At night enjoy a fire in your own fire pit. Play darts, yard games, fish from the dock or grill out. It's all there for our guests to enjoy. We love our little piece of heaven in Mid-Michigan.

Lake house family vacation

Great for families. Offered lots of amenities, paddle boat, kayaks, canoes, yard games, bonfire pit. My daughter gathered apples from apple tree and we made a pie. Fished off dock and lakeshore all week. My kids loved it. Quiet lake, felt private, not very busy, which was nice. Loved our stay.

Family-friendly spot by the lake. Just the right amount of space for a small family. My daughter enjoyed getting out on the kayak at the lake and my husband enjoyed sitting outside looking out at the lake. If it is hot when you plan to go, know that this house does not have AC. However, plenty of fans were available and I am sure at most times throughout the year, it is comfortable without AC. The kitchen had ample space for preparing meals. There was seating inside and on the patio. The sunroom is a pleasant place to hang out and work if you have to bring work along on your trip. The hostess was very nice and responsive.

Quiet lake house

Overall, we had a nice, quiet relaxing time. Pictures were accurate. House was cozy. A bit outdated and beds were not comfortable, but all the basic necessities were included. Our family enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and pedal boat. Nice big area for corn hole, lawn games. We also enjoyed having bonfires at night. Good communication with the host.

Girls Trip

We do a girls trip every year, a different place each year. We found this property and it seemed perfect for a relaxing weekend. We went tubing down the Manistee River and enjoyed the restaurants downtown Clare. Some of the other ladies didn't read all the way through the listing, so they weren't happy with no A/C, but being by the water, it was fine. It was nice eating breakfast outside on the patio, fire in the evening. We used the paddle boat and a kayak. Didn't have to contact the property manager at all while staying. The only issue we had was ants in the kitchen and bathroom, there was spray. We kept cleaning the floor to help keep the ants down. There was a rip in the screen on the front door, we blocked it to block bugs coming in but still got air. We looked for tape, but didn't find any and forgot to buy some at the store. Overall, great stay! Would stay again if in the area again and would recommend to others! Thank you!
