Family villa with spacious yard, Mediterranean garden and pool

Family villa Rošin is situated some 400 m from the centre of Milna, island Brač, in a quiet setting of the bay area Vlaška. The house is 30 m close to the sea. Nearby is a private marina and community moorings. Public beach is some 5 minutes’ walk away. Next to the house is a restaurant and a small grocery store. Milna harbour is one of the main nautical centres on the Adriatic Sea, with three prominent marinas. The town of Split, as the Dalmatian region capital, is some 11 nautical miles away. Milna is regularly connected to the main land, i.e. Split harbour, by maritime public transport lines, directly by speed boat lines and also by ferry lines from the island Brač capital Supetar, that is 20 km away. The speed boat port is some 100 m away of the house. To reach the house by car, coming from Supetar, one should take a detour from the main road leading to Milna. Almost next to the house is a public parking lot.
Villa Rošin, with a total living area of 190 m2, offers comfort accommodation in two single bed bedrooms and one double bed bedroom, on the upper floor of the house and one double bed bedroom with two extra single beds in the ground floor room. It has three bathrooms, of which two are on the upper floor and the third one in the ground floor room, and two separate toilets, one in the basement of the house and the other with the access from the yard. The upper floor has a small balcony with a view on the bay with marina. Both double bed bedrooms have TV. The house, structurally, follows the slope of the land on which it was built, so the contents in the middle part, living room with fireplace, work corner, dining area and kitchen, are arranged on several levels in the one unique space. The living room is equipped with two couches, armchair, coffee table and TV. The work corner provides work desk with a PC, monitor and printer. In the dining area is a dining table for 8 persons and a tableware cupboard. The kitchen is equipped with a electricity and gas combined stove, oven, kitchen hood, dishwasher, double-bowl sink, fridge, microwave, espresso coffee machine with capsules, electric kettle, small grill toaster, cupboard with cooking utensils and pantry cabinets.The room on the ground floor has a kitchenette, fully equipped for light meals cooking and electric kettle. On the ground floor is also a laundry room with a washing machine and an ironing board with iron. The house accommodation offers a boat rental (plastic, 4,6 m long, for 6 persons, gasoline engine) for additional charge. License preferred.
Just like the house, a spacious garden also, of almost 600 m2, with a swimming pool and a cascading garden with Mediterranean plants and fruit trees, follows the slope of the terrain and offers four terraces, on different levels, each with a specific content for staying throughout the day. Accordingly, the terrace / veranda in front of the main entrance of the house, is equipped with a dining stone table for 8 to 10 people and rattan seating furniture. At a lower level, below it, is a terrace with a dining stone table for 8 - 14 people and a stone built wood grill. In front of the living room, as its sequel, there is a lounge terrace for relaxing under the stars and below, a terrace with a round stone table for 6 people for afternoon and evening socializing. On the highest level of the courtyard is a swimming pool, 7,5 m long, 3,5 m wide and 1,45 m deep, with 4 sunbathing areas and outdoor shower. On the lowest level, where is the main entrance to the property, is a free space for recreation or children play.
Villa Rošin, built in 1984, was designed by the renowned Croatian architect Jerko Rošin as a vacation home for his own family. The specificity of the house is the built-in stone bollard at its base, while the garden is marked by dry stone walls and several stone sculptures by Croatian artists. Although all of Rošin’s grandchildren grew up playing and running all over the property freely, it is important to notice that the cascade architecture of the house and, especially, of the stone yard is without any additional fences.
Additionally to the restaurant close to the house, there are plenty in the Milna area. On the nearby public beach is a fish tavern, but there are dozen more in the centre of the Milna place with variety of food. Also, there are several coffee and cocktail bars, grocery stores, gas station, pharmacy and infirmary. The nearest Emergency Room is in Supetar, but the nearest Hospital is in Split.The hospitality of the Villa Rošin offers booking tourist guide and other driving and sea tours in exploring island Brač and its surroundings, diving and kayaking activities, as long as other services such as rent-a-car, rent-a-bike and taxi (additional charge).Also, there are several sport courts in Milna, two for tennis and one each for basketball and soccer.
