The original portion of the cabin, built in 1901, now serves as the kitchen and dining area and features a beautifully refinished ceiling that exposes the original hand‑cut rafters. In the early 1990s, the cabin was expanded to over 2,000 square feet, creating a spacious layout with generous living areas where guests can unwind after a full day of exploring the gorge.

The cabin offers a large, comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen with two full‑size refrigerators, a 55” Smart TV with Roku, high‑speed fiber‑optic internet, and a modern central heating and air‑conditioning system. The area around Lexington Camp has a rich and lively wildlife presence. Deer and wild turkeys may wander through the property as part of their daily routines, and smaller wildlife—squirrels, chipmunks, and backyard birds—are common around the trees and yard. Black bears move through this part of the valley, and foxes, raccoons, and opossums occasionally cross the woods and open spaces.
