Perched on a private ridge in the Wears Valley foothills, Smoky Mountains Lodge is where your family finally exhales. Step onto the upper deck and watch the blue-stacked ridges of Great Smoky Mountains National Park stretch to the horizon—the same view that will greet you each morning from every bedroom. By afternoon, the kids have claimed the 900 sq ft game room (three retro arcades, pool, ping-pong, foosball, basketball arcade) while you settle into the swinging daybed with a book and a glass of something cold. By evening, everyone gathers around the stone fire pit for s’mores as a sky full of stars come out over the Smokies.
This is your 10-minute-from-the-park basecamp for Smoky Mountains hiking trails, Pigeon Forge dining adventures, and Dollywood day trips—but designed so well you may not want to leave. Two main-floor king suites (no stairs for tired parents), a chef’s kitchen with butcher-block counters and a Keurig bar, a bubbling 7-person hot tub under the stars, and 1,000 Mbps Wi-Fi for anyone who needs to sneak in some remote work between adventures.
The Space:
Two king suites on the main floor mean no stairs for tired parents. A queen bedroom and four twin bunks downstairs give the kids their own territory. Every mattress is new high-density foam. Pack-n-Play, high chair, and baby gate are ready and waiting.
The Game Room:
900 square feet of pure entertainment: pool table, ping-pong, foosball, three retro arcades (including NFL Blitz), a movie corner with a popcorn maker, and enough room for everyone to spread out. This is the space your kids will talk about for months.
The Kitchen
Brand-new stainless Whirlpool appliances, butcher-block countertops, quality cookware, a starter spice set, and a Keurig bar with pods included. Everything you need to fuel up for a day of Gatlinburg hiking or Pigeon Forge dining — without eating out every meal.
Outdoor Living:
Upper deck: panoramic long-range mountain views, a charcoal grill, a stone fire pit, and a swinging daybed that has quietly become our most-loved amenity. Lower patio: a 7-person hot tub, cornhole set, and string lights. Keep cameras ready — bears, fireflies, and the occasional curious squirrel are regular visitors.
