This newly renovated one-bedroom, one-bath home is near the University of Arizona, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and downtown. We have an additional one-bedroom, one-bath unit available in the same enclosed two-unit complex. Units can be booked separately or together as a compound, so please contact us if you are interested!
Please note: Both units share the backyard area and the laundry under the front unit's carport.

The Desert Getaway is a peaceful retreat in the heart of Tucson. The one-bedroom, one-bath house shares the private, fenced courtyard with one other structure: a second one-bedroom, one-bath home. The space is best suited for couples or small groups but can accommodate up to 4 guests. There is no door between the bedroom and the living room - so the lack of privacy may not be ideal for groups.

The home is crafted in the classic desert style and boasts a lovely queen-size bed, sleeper sofa, and full kitchen. Additional amenities include air conditioning and heating, high-speed wireless internet (100mbps download), a wireless-capable flat-screen TV (stream with your NetFlix account), coffee maker, microwave, and gas BBQ.

The space is well-equipped. Upon your arrival, you will find coffee, basic cooking supplies, seasonings, soaps, dishes, pots and pans, towels, hair dryer, and iron. We have tried to think of everything, but if you find you are missing something, please ask and we will provide it!

The property is a surprising oasis right in the middle of Tucson. Located in the Hendrick Acres neighborhood, a convenient midtown area that is close to everything -- just off the Mountain Avenue bike path, 2 miles north of the University of Arizona, and 3.5 miles northeast of downtown Tucson.

We are within 2 miles of great restaurants, bars, grocery stores, cinemas, shopping, and parks. You will love the serenity, the classic charm, and the convenience.

During your stay, you will access the home through the gated entrance in the courtyard. A covered carport is available to protect your vehicle from the Tucson sun.

Kitchen: Refrigerator, sink with garbage disposal, oven with stovetop, kitchen table, and chairs

Living room: Full-size pullout sofa

Bedroom: Queen bed with plenty of closet space

Bathroom: Shower with tub, sink, and vanity (Please be aware that our hot water heater is fairly small and only lasts for about 10 minutes at a time.)

Patio: Covered parking, BBQ grill, fire pit, laundry (backyard amenities shared with guests in the back unit)

PETS: This is a pet-friendly home, and guests are welcome to bring their furry friends! There is a limit of two pets, and the associated fees are $55 for one pet and $80 for two pets. (For two pets, $55 is included in the initial reservation payment, and an additional fee request of $25 is sent after booking.) We ask that pets not be allowed on the furniture and that guests pick up and discard any droppings.

PACKAGES: If you need to receive packages during your stay, please DO NOT plan to have them delivered to the property. Instead, please plan to have them delivered to an Amazon locker, FedEx location, etc.
