Take out one of our 2 kayaks or the canoe, or bring your own boat as there’s ample shoreline to tie up. Evenings are for BBQs, picnics, and s’mores by the fire pit, and the screened-in gazebo lets you enjoy the view, bug-free.

Cast a line right from the property or head out for a day on the river. Bring your own boat or paddle upstream to Gananoque Lake, known for bass, pike, perch, and pickerel. Just down the road, Marble Rock Conservation Area offers excellent hiking and biking trails. Winter guests can enjoy ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling on nearby trails.

A fee of $25 per person, per night applies for each guest over 6. This helps cover extra laundry, cleaning, and increased use of our septic holding tank. Please ensure your reservation reflects your full group size to avoid any surprises.

We welcome well-behaved pets! Please include them in your reservation. A $100 pet fee applies per stay.

➤ The cottage is located on the rural Marble Rock Rd, so there is the occasional car that passes by. Sitting on the riverside deck, you can be exposed to the sound of the resident owl hooting as well as the occasional distant train whistle.

While I’m based in Toronto, my co-host Kylie and I are always just a quick message or phone call away if you need anything during your stay. We typically won’t be available to meet in person, but we’re happy to help remotely and respond quickly to ensure your visit is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

While you may hear the occasional passing vehicle, once on the property, you’ll enjoy a true sense of privacy—thanks to a cedar-lined border on one side and an open field on the other. The cottage sits on the calm waters of the Gananoque River, which connects directly to Gananoque Lake.

Just a 5–10 minute drive away, you’ll find the lively town of Gananoque, home to:

• The cottage runs on well water, which is clean but slightly hard and may have a mild metallic smell—perfectly safe for cooking and cleaning
• A water cooler is available in the kitchen for drinking
• The plumbing is on a septic system—please avoid pouring oils, grease, or non-biodegradable materials down the drain

🦟 Nature & Insects
Being surrounded by nature is part of the charm—but in the summer months, we highly recommend bringing bug spray. Light-coloured clothing and avoiding perfumes can also help deter mosquitoes.

🔊 Smart Monitoring
For your comfort and our neighbours’ peace of mind, we use a Minut home sensor. It monitors noise levels, occupancy, temperature, and humidity (but does not record sound) to help ensure a safe, quiet, and enjoyable stay for everyone.
** 🛏 Occupancy & Visitors **
- Maximum of 10 guests allowed on the property. No additional visitors beyond those listed on the reservation are permitted. Thank you for respecting this.
- Base nightly rate includes 6 guests. Additional guests are charged $30 per person, per night. Please ensure your reservation reflects your full group size to avoid additional charges.
- Pets are welcome, but must be included in your reservation. A $125 pet fee applies per stay.

** 🔇 Noise, Behaviour & Events **
- No parties or events permitted.
- Loud music is not permitted outdoors in accordance with municipal by-laws.
- No fireworks at any time.
- Dogs must be leashed when outdoors.
- Any fines issued by a by-law officer (e.g., for noise, off-leash pets, fireworks, etc.) will be the responsibility of the guest and will be passed on accordingly.

** 🚭 Smoking **
- Smoking is not allowed indoors.
- Guests are welcome to smoke outside - please be respectful and dispose of cigarette butts properly.

** 🗑 Garbage & Recycling **
- Your cleaning fee covers disposal of up to 4 full-sized garbage/recycling bags.
- Garbage and recycling must be sorted into separate clear bags (provided):

3. Paper/Fiber
4. Beer/Liquor containers

Additional fees:
- $20 per extra bag of garbage or recycling.
