J.T. Cottage

Our newly renovated beautiful modern chic desert cabin is the perfect place to relax and recoup. JT Cottage is a remodeled 1952 homesteader cottage with breath taking views all around. 5 mile drive to Joshua Tree Village and 9.6 mile drive to the National Park entrance, this stylish modern chic home has mature native plants and desert wild life right out the front door. Come here to immerse in the serene desert. It's ideal for solo trips, couples, and small group getaways.
The space
Located on the "mesa" part of Yucca Valley is The JT Cottage. Its a 1 bedroom/ 1 bath 1952's homestead cottage. It features a queen bed in the bedroom, a fold down couch in the 'entertaiment' room and a day lounge in the sun room. 1 small well behaved dog is allowed for an additional $20 per night. Very private, but with neighboring houses within sight so that you don't feel dangerously remote. A/C to create a cool oasis when needed. The heating system works like a charm, and a woodburning fireplace keeps it toasty when there's a nip in the air.
Guest access
Guests have total access to the house and the fenced yard.
Other things to note
This is a quiet, serene and WILD place. Expect close encounters with desert flora, the prickly kind, and fauna, some of them have fangs or stingers, or sharp teeth. Actual harmful contact is rare, but it can happen, so please be cautious. Please DO NOT FEED the wild life.

There's a smart tv at the house for streaming, but NO ACTUAL Cable TV. Personal streaming options are available.

There is a $20 pet fee per pet per night.
