Overall, it was an excellent experience. The cabin was very clean. We were not able to use the hot tub though because the chlorine smell was way too strong and it was burning our eyes and throat.

Beautiful home near everything! We visited during July and even without AC it stayed very comfortable inside. The beds were comfortable as well, and there was plenty of room for our family of 8. Our teen kids loved the game room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, Grill worked great and everyone loved spending the evenings in the hot tub. Overall great experience!

Everything was perfect. The upstairs shower head is not working well, made it hard to use that shower. Other than that everything was great.

Golden Bear Pines was a great place to stay for our Thanksgiving weekend. My family of 3 plus friends equaling 4 more (4 adults and 3 teen/near teens) fit great in this cabin. Plus we had 3 dogs.The boys loved the game room/garage and the dogs loved the adventures in the backyard.The kitchen is incredibly well stocked for cooking, though not much food storage space.I think the only downside we saw was the upstairs bath is pretty small. Thanks for a great trip!

The property is beautiful. Access to enter was easy. No hassle. The house is spacious for a large group. Location is great. Close to everything but you feel like you’re deep in the woods.Unfortunately no A/C but are provided fans in every room. Unfortunately NO SCREEN for the sliding glass door, which made it difficult to feel a good breeze during the hot month of August we visited. The Kitchen was stocked with every appliance, pots, utensils, etc you may need. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and a bathroom with sham/con and body wash and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a small bathroom with the same amenities. Be careful the top of the stairs’ handrail is a bit detached.Cannot forget the game room! Loaded with a tv and arcade games and different activities.We used the BBQ outside to make burgers. That’s was good! Disappointed the patio table/ chairs were filthy. I don’t understand if I’m coming to rent a home in the summer, is it not likely that I will use the patio outside? So why was it not cleaned?The jacuzzi, for me, was a big draw and for many in my group, but when they lifted the top, the smell of chlorine was very strong.They turned on the jets for a while thinking it might help, but it didn’t. I approached the jacuzzi and I saw suds and began coughing. I had to step away. I didn’t allow anyone to enter jacuzzi. I believed it was too much chlorine and unsafe. We all agreed the cabin could have maintained better. My grade for this cabin would be a disappointing C.

I have stayed at many rentals and have never had an experience like this one. We traveled to Big Bear in our 30’ RV. When I was searching for a place to stay I ask before booking if there is enough space for parking our RV and this was no exception. I was told it would fit. Well it didn’t. I contacted them and told them there was a problem and my rv did not fit in the driveway, and you are not allowed to park on the street. They suggested we park at their main office that was a 5 minute walk from the house, well it was 1.8 miles away! My reply was am I supposed to walk? I never got any kind of a response from them. This dictated our whole trip, where we were without a vehicle. This was quite frustrating and very inconvenient to say the least. I would not recommend staying here, the lack of communication and expecting us to walk almost 2 miles to use our vehicle. The least they could have done was refund some of my payment. I have never left a bad review for any rental before but this one I had no choice. They had little regard for our family, including seniors expecting them to walk that distance with no other solution for us.

Pretty place

A lot of broken items and not enough supplies for our stay. Fan was broken, light switches didn’t work. Overall it was a nice place but could have been stocked with more useful items. I had to purchase a lot of stuff, trash bags, paper towels, shampoo and conditioner, coffee and filters, not a lot of seasonings available for cooking. Pretty place and close for skiing in the winter.
