Wunderschönes Haus am Strand mit Panoramablick auf das Meer und eine private Promenade auf der Isle of Palms. Dieses Haus im Süden liegt unter alten Insel-Eichen und ist mit fröhlichen Strandfarben und Kunst aus Charleston dekoriert. Die Küche hat eine kleine Theke mit Granitplatte. Der Esstisch bietet Platz für 8 Personen und ist zum Wohnzimmer hin offen. Das Wohnzimmer ist offen mit Flachbildfernseher und ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten für alle. Auf der Leinwand-Veranda stehen Schaukelstühle und ein Esstisch mit Hängematte.
In der dritten Etage befindet sich eine Master-Suite mit einem geräumigen Hauptschlafzimmer mit eigener Sonnenterrasse und eigenem Bad mit übergroßer Whirlpool-Badewanne. Hinterhof bietet viel Grünfläche für Familienspiele. Das Anwesen verfügt über eine wundervolle private Promenade vom Hinterhof durch die Dünen, die einen direkten Zugang zum Strand ermöglicht. Diese Unterkunft bietet einen Gasgrill unter dem Haus (Propantanks können während der regulären Geschäftszeiten in unserem Büro ausgetauscht werden), WLAN und Bettwäsche inklusive. Bitte nicht rauchen oder Haustiere. Kamin ist nicht für Gäste.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this homey beach cottage. While obviously an older home, we were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the view is wonderful, and the layout is great. It was a little musty on arrival, but it did not bother me (I’m very sensitive). I was worried the beach access would affect privacy, but it was not heavily used or noticeable (July stay). The beach area is a “sweet spot” in terms of crowds. A maintenance issue (caused by our kids) was dealt with easily. All in all, a perfect family place! There are some flying insects that need dealing with (cleaning crew should vacuum behind furniture), but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again.Kudos to the lawn crew who did not come early and made quick work of the massive lawn and did not use leaf blowers excessively!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented this home for 3 years in a row. We love the location, that the home is on the beach and surrounded by trees, the giant screened in porch with hammock and table/chairs for enjoying meals outside, and the paved space under the house for our kids to play. However — the home is in definite need of some upgrades and maintenance. The shower in the guest room behind the stairs had mold in it for the 2nd year in a row, and the toilet in the bathroom btn the two twin bedrooms ran constantly. The last night, the large tub upstairs started leaking through the ceiling and dripping into the dining room - even though the tub was barely filling up. This also happened last year on our last night. In addition, there is no longer a working light over the kitchen sink, making it difficult to see when washing dishes - and it just makes the kitchen seem dark and dingy when working at those counter tops. We will likely choose another property next year, which I hate, because the location/yard/outside spaces at the home are lovely!

Screen was fully ripped off one side of porch and just hanging there from storm 2 weeks earlier had to call management to fix twice. Like island realty for most part but could we check lights and remotes and replace these proactively for guests before each visit. Every year we go in August and by end of season half the bulbs are burned out, one out of 4 remotes has working batteries. Would just like to see some proactive efforts so I am not constantly calling to fix things.

The home was clean with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable linens.Our one negative experience was a coyote attack when walking the dog! Even though there were neighbors to the immediate left and right, the trees and large yard made it seem like our own isolated place on the beach. Nice older beach house, plenty of room, great views and wonderful large screened in porch with plenty of seating. The yard is unbelievable for croquet, bocce, soccer ball, football, etc. The ONE drawback, and not really a drawback if you are aware and plan for it, the parking is tight. I will absolutely stay here again and again.

2023 vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Island realty was terrific to work with. Everything went as planned. Wish the house had a better outside shower and wish the city woukd rake all the sea grass from beaches.
