King Suites, Hot Tub, Private & Quiet, Board Games
Escape to the mountains and enjoy the serene, wooded views from our recently renovated cabin, Sundown Mountain. With 2 king suites, a loft with bunk beds, and a new queen sleeper sofa, the cabin can accommodate up to 8 people. Relax and unwind in the hot tub, play foosball in the loft, or compete in a game of Uno or Sorry on the deck while taking in the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. End the day by rocking away in one of the rocking chairs with a cold drink in your hand. No pets.
Welcome to Sundown Mountain cabin in Wears Valley, just 5 miles from the fun in Pigeon Forge, 10 miles from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 15 miles from Gatlinburg. The cabin is 1,260 SF spread out over two floors. It is the perfect balance of spacious and cozy all in one. The cabin has a private in-the-mountains feel with no immediate neighbors.
MAIN FLOOR
• Open concept kitchen, dining, and living room
• 55” Smart TV (BYO subscriptions)
• Cozy gas fireplace (available October – March)
• New queen sleeper sofa in living room and new side chair with cozy throw blankets
• Kitchen has granite countertops and is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal
• Dishwasher for easy cleanup
• Dining table with seating for 6
• King bedroom with new memory foam mattress, en suite bathroom, and Smart TV. Bathroom is also accessible from the kitchen for easy access during the day.
• Washer and dryer (BYO detergent)
• Access to private back deck with 4-person hot tub, rocking chairs, and outdoor dining table with ambient string lighting. Private, wooded views.
• Front porch with rocking chairs with ambient string lighting
UPPER LEVEL
• King bedroom with en suite full bathroom and Smart TV
• Open loft with new foosball table
• Twin-over-queen log bunk bed in open loft. This area is counted as a bedroom, but it is open to the main level.
• Game table and board games for the whole family
• Beautiful views of nature from the large windows in the loft
The cabin has central air and there are ceiling fans in every room. In 2023 we installed new LVP flooring throughout the cabin, upgraded the bathrooms, purchased several new furniture pieces and updated the modern-rustic décor. We are excited to share our mountain cabin with your family!
Please note that there is not a grill at the cabin due to the potential for wildfire danger.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
We provide a starter set of soaps, shampoo, dish detergent, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels. This starter set is not designed to last your entire stay. Depending on the length of your stay and size of your group you may need to bring or purchase extras.
A drip coffee pot and Keurig is provided. Bring your own coffee/filters/cream/sugar.
Guests have full access to the entire cabin. There is a keypad door lock on the front door. You will receive your private code approximately 24 hours before check-in.
The cabin is located within Little Valley Mountain Resort, however, as owners who privately rent our cabin we do not have access to resort amenities.
All roads leading to the cabin are paved. There is parking for 2 medium vehicles or 1 large vehicle in the cabin driveway - if you have more let me know upon booking so I can tell you where to park. The driveway itself is relatively flat. The last 500 feet of the road up to the cabin is steep, but it's nothing a regular car can't handle during normal driving conditions.
- 2 small/medium vehicles or 1 large vehicle MAX at cabin - if you have more vehicles please let me know so I can tell you where to park.
- All guests must be 21+ with the exception of children with their parents.
- 8 person maximum, including children and infants .
- No smoking or vaping.
- No pets. If you bring a pet you will be charged $300.
- The fireplace is shut down from April 1 to October 1 as with every cabin in the area.
- Use of the hot tub is at your own risk.
- No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage.
- Critters live in the woods. We subscribe to monthly pest control, however this cabin is in the woods and with that comes bugs and other wild animals including bears and racoons. Do not feed any wild animals and do not leave any food outdoors.
- The roof is metal. If a squirrel scurries across the metal roof you might hear it. If it rains you are definitely going to hear it.
- All roads leading to the cabin are paved, however the last 500 feet to reach the cabin is moderately steep and can get slippery during inclement weather. For this reason, consider a 4-wheel drive vehicle if traveling during the winter.

Welcome! Our family is so excited to host you! We LOVE to travel anywhere and everywhere. When our kids have breaks from school you can find us in Door County, Wisconsin, on a lake in northern Wisconsin, visiting family in Florida, or spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains. We enjoy going for bike rides, hanging out on our front porch in the summer, eating ice cream and spending lots of time with family and friends.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
We bought this cabin in 2023 after months of looking for the perfect place for our family. We love the privacy at this location and the how the cabin feels cozy and spacious all in one. My favorite memories of the cabin so far include playing board games with our kids on the back deck and sitting in the rocking chairs at night watching the sun go down. We hope you and your family feel this same magic while you're staying with us.
Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
My favorite place at the cabin (oddly enough) is sleeping in the king bedroom on the first floor. I am obsessed with the mattress in this bedroom - so much so that we purchased the same one for our regular house. I always sleep like a rock and wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.
