Don’t let one unhappy person prevent you from staying at our lovely home. To Lucy: You are a miserable person and your review is more reflective of your attitude and personality than our home. Lucy INQUIRED about booking our home and, few weeks later, when she went to book, prices indeed have gone up. This was several weeks before her trip and she could have stayed anywhere else. At Lucy’s request, we purchased 3 beach cruisers. All in fine workable condition. Lucy was disappointed the bicycles were not brand new. However, she still used them regularly. Lucy did not know how to use a Nespresso machine. At Lucy’s request, we bought a French press and fresh grounded coffee. She still complained. We generally keep our seat cushions in door and put them outside before guests arrive. The cushions were dry when the Lucy arrived. However, it rained during her stay and the cushions got wet. Still, we sent housekeeping dry the cushions. Same with the boat - it gets cleaned before every guest. However, it rained during her stay… The house has 6 coffee cups next to the coffee machine other mugs and cups in the cupboard. Why she said we only have 4 is beyond me. We bought a brand new hot tub after the one we had malfunctioned. We asked Lucy to let us switch it whenever it is convenient to her. She refused. My father is a licensed general contractor has years of experience as a maintenance man. Not sure why it bothered the guest that my father came to fix because our maintenance man was tied up. The fire pit is brand new and like any other fire pit - press the igniter and turn the knob. Lucy did not know how to turn on the fire pit (I guess not surprising since she did not know how to use a Nespresso machine). We came to the house to show her. Same with the Alexa’s - they are new and work like any other Alexa. Lucy also did not know how to use this, so we came to the house and showed her (press and hold the Bluetooth button and connect your smart phone). We have since out curtains and blinds to protect our guests’ privacy and light from coming in.
