Direct Gulf Beachfront 4th floor 2BR/2B condo with large balcony on the Gulf and direct beach access, which is steps away over the boardwalk with a ramp for easy access. This property is on the beach. You can't get any closer to the beach than this! Located on Perdido Key Island, just east of the Perdido Pass Bridge, Wind Drift is on a stretch of quiet Gulf Front beach adjacent to Alabama Point State Park, making our property unique. Our buildings are low density, with only 7 floors and on the Gulf. Unlike many other properties, our guests also have access to Old River with boat docks, and 2 fish cleaning stations, benches, and boating access. (Boatyard and boat ramp available to rent if bringing your boat.)
Great for a vacation, with friends or with the family, this condo includes an open concept living area with well-equipped, full kitchen, a dining table that seats 4 and a bar that seats 3 for meals or game nights, and an open sunlit living area, and black out curtains for a Smart TV with DVD Player, and Free WiFi for rainy days or relaxing nights. The condo has 4 large smart TVs (one in each room, including one in the kitchen and is great for sports game days). This condo also is equipped with a washer/dryer and central heating and air conditioning to ensure the ultimate comfort during your stay. It also has blackout curtains for a mid day nap. You have access to two community outdoor pools, beachside sundeck, pickle ball/Shuffleboard/tennis court, and a grilling area. You also have access to the boat docks on Old River.

The space: This beachfront condo has been renovated recently and is 1100 sq ft living with a large private 218 sq ft balcony facing the Gulf and the balcony is accessible through the living area and master suite. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. King size bed in Master Bedroom and large walk-in closet. Queen size bed and Twin bed in 2nd bedroom. Luxury vinyl floors. Well equipped kitchen with appliances, smooth-top range, Keurig coffee maker, regular coffee maker, and wet bar. Full size washer and dryer located inside the unit. 4 large smart TVs (one in each room, including one in the kitchen), 1 DVD Player, and Free WiFi.
Keyless entry so you don't have to worry about keeping up with keys. Guests also have access to a lockable Storage closet on walkway just outside the front door to store your beach items and toys. The exterior, common areas and walkways of our building have been restored with new coatings, stucco and paint.
You may get to see the Blue Angels fly by at eye level right from your balcony! In addition to direct beachfront access to the beautiful waters of the Gulf, guests also have access to the entire unit, pools, BBQ grills, beach and Old River and walking to boat docks. In addition to beach and swimming pool access, guests also have access to a second swimming pool by the tennis court. We have a signaled crosswalk for your use in crossing Perdido Beach Boulevard if you want to go to the boat docks at Old River and the second swimming pool.
If you like to cook you will enjoy the fact that you can also see the Gulf from the kitchen and there is a SmartTV in the kitchen as well. Enjoy watching the sunrise over the Gulf coast as you beach comb for shells on the beach. Listen to the surf and seagulls and watch the dolphins, pelicans, blue herons and osprey as you drink your morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the private balcony. Spend the day enjoying your favorite beach activities! Enjoy playing and sunning on the sugar sand beaches, participating in water sports, golfing, deep sea fishing, shopping, sight-seeing or just relaxing at this beach front condo. Watch the boats come in and out of the Perdido Pass and the Farewell Buoy while relaxing on your private balcony. Beach access also includes outdoor showers to rinse sand and saltwater before heading back to the condo.
Must be 25 years or older to book and must be staying in the property for the duration of the trip. Select the accurate number of guests that will be staying at booking request. (Max 7). Guests are responsible for damages. Check-in at 4:00 pm (central time) Check -out at 10:00 am (central time) No parties. No burning of candles. Don't wear cleats inside. Parking is limited to 2 cars with paid parking pass for each vehicle. No smoking or vaping. No Pets.
The condo does not have a baby crib, high chair, etc. equipment for infants or young children. So please remember to bring gear with you if you have an infant or young children.
Guest access: This direct Gulf beachfront condo Guests have direct access to the beach and the beautiful waters on Alabama's Gulf Coast, which is a few steps away over a short boardwalk with a ramp. In addition to direct beach access and swimming pool, guests also have access to Old River with second swimming pool and boat docks. We have a signaled crosswalk for your use. We have chairs and loungers around the pool and deck area, however, they are not to be removed from that area. BBQ grills by pool and boat docks. Shelley's Beach services offer chairs, umbrellas and kayaks for you to rent on the beach (March-Oct).
Utility carts are available for guests to unload their items to take to their condo. I ask my guests not to bring these carts inside because it tears up the walls & floors and brings in unwanted sand and dirt.
We have Tennis Court/Pickleball courts.
Guest Registration Parking Passes required by Condo Association: *PARKING PASSES ARE $63 EACH WITH A MAX OF 2 VEHICLES for up to a 10-night stay. Reservations of 11-14 days are $112 each. The parking fee will be paid directly to the Wind Drift Association and they will provide a gate code for your stay.** **Monthly Parking Rate: $120 Per Month.
BOATERS PARADISE: Boat Yard rental space to store your boat/trailer must be booked in advance at the time of your condo booking. A limited number of boat slips are available per day with first come first serve but we have a boat ramp where you can easily haul out your boat and store it in your rented space if docks are full. We also have a rinse and flush area in the boatyard that you can use. Boat slips also have 110V power outlets and fresh water spigots. If using power and water at boat slips, bring your own hoses, extension cords, and docking lines. Cost is $50 per day or $300 a week with a $50 administrative fee. (No Refunds!) Renters must complete a liability waver, submit current boat registration and current boat insurance and must be received with full payment. Inquire with host Susan for more information.
Our boat docks are only a 5 minute boat ride to the Gulf of Mexico for world class fishing or stay close in the bay for inshore fishing or just cruising to local restaurants and arrive by boat! Boat slips are located in a NO WAKE zone which helps protect your boat while in the water. Boat slips also have a fish cleaning station with electricity and fresh water. Take your boat over to Bird Island to enjoy swimming and fun in the sun or take it to dine at one of the many waterfront restaurants in Orange Beach or Perdido Key, FL. Bring your rods and reels and enjoy catching redfish, speckled trout, flounder, skipjacks and crabs off our new marina pier or our private Old Riverside beach.

These spaces are limited and the Wind Drift Association requires boat registration and documents to be complete no less than 7 days prior to check-in. Please note if a reservation is made and check-in is less than 7 days from booking, the reservation is ineligible for boat parking. *PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WILL BE BRINGING A BOAT UPON BOOKING!! THERE ARE LIMITED SLIPS FOR GUESTS TO USE SO BOAT REGISTRATION DOCS MUST BE DONE ASAP Link will be sent upon booking.

I couldn’t have chosen a better place for our vacation. Not only was the cleanliness of the room immaculate, but the host, Susan, was absolutely wonderful! She was in communication with us throughout the entire experience and made herself available for any needs we might have had while there. The fully stocked kitchen came in very helpful. The beach view and ease of getting in and out of the room exceeded expectations. I appreciated the easy access to the beach and loved that the beach was not crowded during our stay. The elevator lobby was thoroughly cleaned throughout our stay and elevators functioned perfectly. My favorite part of our room was the amazing balcony furniture. As an early riser, I spend a lot of time sitting on the balcony working and enjoying the views while waiting for my family to wake up. It was a wonderful setup! Overall, could not have had a better experience. Will definitely recommend to others and plan to stay here again ourselves!

We enjoyed our stay at Wind Drift. The condo was nice, very clean, and in such a convenient area close to lots of restaurants and shopping. We had a beautiful view and such easy access to the beach! We will definitely be back!
