6/10 – Okay

We recently stayed here for a couple of days to catch an NBA game. The positives:The room itself was large and very spacious. The king bed was great, the couch was super comfortable, and we really appreciated that the TV was mounted at the perfect height …whether you were laying in bed or sitting on the couch, it was easy to watch. The location truly can’t be beat. We never had to walk or drive more than 10 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go all weekend. For exploring downtown and catching a game, it was ideal. The downsides:Parking was the biggest frustration. It cost 15–20 per night, and if you left the garage at all, you were charged hourly when you returned. For example, we paid 15 for overnight parking, left for lunch, came back to rest and get ready for evening plans, and when we left again four hours later it was another 10. Over a 48-hour stay, we ended up paying 75 total just for parking. We were surprised the hotel didn’t validate or offer some kind of reimbursement, as many places we’ve stayed do. Keeping track of individual parking passes each time also felt a bit stressful. The building is older and currently going through renovations, so things felt a little messy in spots. Additionally, checkout was noon, but housekeeping knocked at 10 a.m. to ask when we were leaving, which caught us off guard.
