The property is above a very popular restaurant in Central Lake. I’ve been dining at the Blue Pelican for many years, but never was aware there was a seven unit hotel on the second floor.An internet search showed many happy customers and there was a twist. It’s allegedly haunted. This sealed the deal. I went onto VRBO and requested a block of nights. The prop manager responded quickly and confirmed my reservation.Trisha’s communications were friendly, prompt and answered all my questions. She was so helpful, a huge asset to the property.The hotel, easily being a centurion, has many stories from decades past. If those walls could talk, well, they kinda do…. I digress.The room was spotless, bathroom appointed well, bed, sheets, pillow, linens, all so soft comfortable and cozy. I didn’t mention the A/C, it was pumping out a solid volume of cold air and above the bed was a ceiling fan.The fun stuff:I was laying on the bed catching up on current events with my iPhone. I hear a knocking sound from inside the bathroom, behind the closed door. I can see light emitting from the bottom edge of the bathroom door. I turn on my camera and, yup, the door slowly opens. Got it on video!I get up, pull the door closed and get back to reading. Then my curiosity get me and I crack the door, release it and watch. Of course, it slowly swings open on its own. Poorly hung door not plumb. Easy to explain. I thought I had the door latched closed, but I could have be wrong
