Cozy, but could use some improvements
This was not our first time with VRBO. We've used your services previously in Vancouver Island, Canada, where we stayed at three different places. Those were very pleasant places, and maybe we got spoiled for comfort. This property in San Antonio was ok, the landlady was very friendly and helpful, the place itself was cozy and the neighborhood is great, it is very peaceful and quiet, and everything is a very short drive away. We even walked to a lovely nearby park. However, we did have a few issues: as we tried to use the sofa-bed, we found out that there had been no cleaning under it; also we had to wash the dish drying tray, that was really dirty and also the plates, cups, and cutlery that we used, since those seemed to have been poorly washed. The kitchen knives were blunt and we couldn't find a sharpening rod to help us. One thing we had seen on previous reviews on this property was that the fridge was loud, and it is very loud indeed.
One other thing we found odd was that workers came to work on the lot beside the unit, but the access to said lot was through the unit's fence, so we were surprised to see people opening our gate and coming into the front yard. Previous warning would have been nice.
Finally, I'd like to mention that we had to change our reservation, reducing it from 14 to 12 days, to spend a few days in Austin. We could change it at no extra cost, and we expect those two unused days to be reimbursed into my credit card, which hasn't happened yet.
