Family getaway

This place was awesome, so spacious and clean!! Booked it for a fun family getaway to float the river, unfortunately due to the flash flooding those plans were cancelled. The houses held enough room for all of us to still have an amazing weekend, filled with swimming in the pool, playing board games and having move marathons! Great place, definitely worth a visit!!

Great for big group!

My family was in town for a birthday party. This space was perfect for us to hang out together! The kids loved the pool & looking for fish and tiny frogs in the water feature by the front door. Definitely one of places to stay in NB (and we’ve stayed a lot since our son & his family live there). My husband liked that there weren’t any neighbors. Great host & a great spot for my people. We’ll be back!

Highly Recommend!

17 women traveled from all over the country to attend a retreat I hosted. We had the best time staying here. The pool was perfect for hanging out during the day. The main house was so cozy and comfortable with such a large group to hang out in. The kitchen was fully stocked to make cooking easy. The location was perfect for an easy trip to stores, New Braunfels and Gruene! The host and the property manager were quick to help when we needed and we’re so patient and helpful! We highly recommend this for a girls weekend getaway! You will NOT be disappointed.

Great Place

There were 18 of us that came to float the river. This place was great for us! We all had beds and loved the 2 houses. We all had plenty of room to hang out inside or under the covered porch. My only issues are very minor…. The smaller house does not have central heat and air only portable AC’s which made it kinda hot in there especially the kitchen and bathroom. As far as accuracy of online listing….the pool is very small and with 18 people we had hoped to all or mostly all to get in at the same time but that was not possible. And the property is very overgrown. You can hardly see the pond for the tall brush covering it and the rest of the property seems overgrown and unkept.

Fun Family Trip - mixed ages

We look forward to a few days away every summer for our family of 15. We selected this ranch house which was beautifully decorated as in the photos and also in person but had a couple of issues. The house itself was perfect for the first 11 members of the family which included all the children. The small pool was a perfect size for them and the youngest 2 learned to swim while we were visiting. We had 2 little boys in our group that were looking forward to fishing in the catfish pond. Unfortunately, the photos are a bit outdated and the pond is overgrown with reeds. Even with more water, you still wouldn’t be able to fish it. There were also a lot of wasps around so we were on constant guard with the kids. The house did provide spray but needs to remove the nests The smaller cabin was also very nice but was quite warm which made it difficult to sleep in the loft area. The other 2 rooms were better with room A/C units. The cowboy tub/shower in the smaller cabin didn’t seem to have any hot water. The host was responsive when we faced a toilet issue and it was resolved in short order. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this property .. the small cabin if the weather isn’t too hot.

Eclipse Stay

The property fit the needs our our family, however there were several things that left us a bit disappointed. Only 4 rolls of toilet paper, no trash bags, 1 roll of Paper towel,no salt & pepper or aluminum foil, baggies, hot tub connect to pool did not stay heated and the pool was dirty. Maybe a solar cover would have been nice. Some of the ceiling fans in main house did not work or we were told they make a loud noise. The sink in the kitchen in the main house did not have hot water and we discovered that it had been turned off under the sink. We were not told in the 2nd house that there was no ice machine so we had to go and by ice in addition to all the things listed above. Most people will be traveling to your VRBO and don't carry things like this and the other VRBO's that we stay at provide these things along with coffee or Kcups. One of the two coffee makers did not work so I would just throw it away and perhaps replace it with a Keurig. On a positive note there were plenty of towels for people to shower and use. I might suggest one of those shampoo, body wash and conditioner devices you can attach to the shower wall. The little bottles provided were nice but not enough for 20 people that the house can hold. Not sure if you have a cleaning crew that just did not replenish things. As a family we really did enjoy the layout of the complex but a few adjustments would make it better for the next group that comes in. Items we had to purchase should have been included.
