Island Winds West recently underwent a $3 million-dollar extensive remodel. Updates include energy-efficient, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors on all balconies as well as a complete restructure of the south, beach-front wall. These updates were completed with you, our guests, in mind to better and fully enjoy your vacation on Alabama’s Gulf Coast! This is your place for vacation fun! Right on the beach and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and a variety of entertainments, Island Winds is well situated. The building itself has a number of amenities, including a Gulf Front heated pool and a separate children's pool. You'll be able to cook up local seafood on one of our barbecue grills on site or eat at home in your fully furnished kitchen. Island Winds West is especially great for families and sleeps up to 8 in a 3 bed 2 bath unit. It's the perfect headquarters for enjoying all the fun Gulf Shores has to offer. There's fishing from Gulf State Park Pier or charter a boat and take to the Gulf for an afternoon of fishing. We have putt-putt and amusement parks, and a great number of golf courses of varying difficulty right near the property. In addition to the variety of non-beach related activities we have, we also offer tons of water activities on top of the typical sunbathing and swimming. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach offer jet ski rental, parasailing, kite surfing, boat rental and more. Take a ride on a Dolphin Cruise to admire the highly intelligent and amusing animals or enjoy the views from the tip of Fort Morgan point as you tour the historical area. In town, you'll find adventure no matter your goal. When it comes to cuisine, our seafood is top-notch, and our Royal Red Shrimp have made international headlines for their deliciousness. Places like the Amphitheater at the Wharf and the Hangout have live music, and the Wharf has the largest Ferris Wheel in the Southeast. A two or three bedroom will be issued a maximum of two (2) car passes.
On-site paid parking is available and managed by the property's HOA. Parking passes can be purchased upon arrival and are valid for the duration of your stay. Please be sure to display the pass clearly on your driver's side dashboard at all times while on the property.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, U-hauls, trailers, boats, jet skis, buses, and similar vehicles are not permitted on the property.
