The beautiful and charming McSwain House is conveniently located in the Central Shelby historic district. You'll be within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, and attractions in Uptown Shelby, including the Don Gibson Theater.

The fully stocked and well equipped kitchen has all of the amenities you need to cook and serve a full meal. There are 12 sets of dishes, silverware, wine glasses, chopsticks, and steak knives, plus kid-friendly dishes and silverware, in addition to necessities for baking, cooking, and serving meals.

The kitchen boasts a traditional drip coffee maker, with coffee and filters, as well as a Keurig and K-cups. You’ll also find sugar packets and creamer pods. There is also an electric water kettle.

Each guest is provided with a wrapped, new dish sponge, dishwasher pods, dish soap, and hand soap.

Just off the kitchen is a laundry closet with new washer and dryer. Laundry pods are located under the sink.

The dining table seats six without any extensions. It has two additional leaves and there are two comfortable, upholstered-seat wooden folding chairs in the closet, so you can comfortably serve dinner for eight. Kid-friendly dishes are also included.

The dining room and living room, while separate, are open to each other and have great flow. You can easily linger together in both rooms after a delicious meal.

The living room has a Samsung Smart TV with 200 streaming channels. You can also log in to your Amazon Prime or Netflix account to stream your favorite movies and shows!

The living room has plenty of natural light, and the wi-fi is fast. It’s a comfortable spot to use your laptop. There is a dedicated laptop desk in the living room, with surge protector cord and comfortable desk chair, or sit on the leather couch!

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. It holds a hairdryer for your use. Guest amenities include travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and wrapped soap, as well as hand soap and toilet paper. The new, fluffy towels are stored in the bedroom closets.

The bedrooms have alarm clocks with USB chargers for your phones. Just bring your cord!

The bed linens are all white, and are all new. Bedroom #1 has a queen-sized Purple mattress. Bedroom #2 has a queen-sized Casper mattress. Bedroom #3 has two twin beds (a daybed with a trundle). The home sleeps six guests in beds, but for the littlest guests there is also a Pack and Play with special PNP sheets in the closet.

Each bedroom has room-darkening curtains + window blinds, oscillating floor fans and sound machines for maximum sleeping comfort.

Each bedroom closet also contains fluffy towel sets, velvet hangers, extra blankets, and two luggage racks for your use.

Each bedroom has a full length mirror for your convenience!

Each window in the home has blinds for privacy and room darkening.

Basic cleaning supplies, including a broom and dustpan and vacuum, are on hand should you need to use them.

This charming home is a duplex. You'll have all of Apartment #1 (of 2) to yourself! This apartment uses the right back door with private back deck, as well as the front door.

The driveway for this home is on the left of the house front. Pull all the way down to park in the private parking area behind the home. The private parking area is separated from the private parking area for Apartment #2 by a grassy lawn. Please do not use the driveway or parking area for Apartment #2.

There is also plenty of on-street parking for overflow.

Other things to note:
This is a non-smoking home. Events (such as baby showers or professional meetings) may be allowed, depending on the size of the event. No “parties”. Please reach out to me to clarify your event if you have something in mind.
