We enjoyed our stay and found this to be a great home base for exploring the Mount Baker area. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the host was responsive and helpful. When we reached out asking for dinner suggestions after discovering many local businesses had closed due to the extreme heat, she recommended a wonderful place that ended up being a great choice. We happened to visit during an unusually hot stretch of weather. Shortly after we returned from dinner, the entire area's power went out, which unfortunately meant no Wi-Fi or cell service. We had to drive about 20 minutes to get a signal so we could contact the host, but this was an area-wide outage and completely beyond her control. Once the power came back, the portable AC unit worked intermittently and displayed an error at times, so the cabin stayed fairly warm overnight despite the extra fan that was provided. I imagine this isn't an issue most of the year, but it's something to keep in mind if you're visiting during an unusually hot period. The only other small thing I'd mention is that while the bed itself was comfortable, the bed frame was quite squeaky and every movement during the night made noise.Overall, we appreciated the clean space, the excellent location, and the host's communication. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient place to explore Mount Baker, especially during the cooler months.
