Welcome to The Hillside. This cozy modern rustic lodge sits atop the rolling hills of the Clear Fork Valley in Butler, Ohio. A recently built authentic log cabin, it is fitted with many custom furnishings to maximize comfort and give it a one-of-a-kind style. Unique to Ohio, this getaway comfortably sleeps 20 guests. With many indoor and outdoor recreation options, it's the perfect spot to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect at any time of year.

We had an amazing experience at this property. The owners were very easy to keep in touch with and very friendly. The location was very convenient off of I-71. The house was very large, yet so comfortable, and very clean. The kitchen was large enough for numerous people to work at once, and the entertainment area was so much fun. I highly recommend checking this property out on your next visit to the area.

Everything about our family stay at The Hillside cabin was great. We were there two nights and all the amenities were perfect and I didn’t need to bring half of the stuff I brought. Plenty of toiletries, soaps shampoos kitchen was well stocked everything clean and beautiful. We hosted Christmas for our kids and grandkids for the weekend and it was great. A beautiful Christmas tree was up and fun was had by all. The house could not have been any more responsive. They answered any question I had and were in contact with us with all instructions that were very clear. We had a beautiful snow while we were there and the kids had fun sled, riding, and playing in the snow.Thank you for a great weekend. Fun was had by all.

This property was everything we wanted and more. We had a group of 15 people for a bachelor party weekend and it was the perfect amount of space to hang out there all weekend. The property has everything you need, and if you don't there are plenty of stores within a short drive. I will definitely be returning!

What an awesome place, we rented Hillside because we had a business meeting in Mansfield and the hotel options looked a bit sad… it was SO awesome and so much better than any hotel nearby lol. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, made breakfast in the huge kitchen that had everything we needed, took advantage of the steam shower, and so much more. We had a short stay but it was memorable and we would absolutely return!! Sitting around the huge table made of a slab of a tree was a highlight. So was making smores by the fire - and the host provided a firestarter and all the smores goodies! Five stars is not enough for this one. Can’t say enough about the epic basement, gorgeous property grounds, comfortable beds.

Amazing stay!

I had an amazing little get away to the cabin it is a lot bigger than I would have thought and the pool was lovely! All the patios and balconies made it such a good spot to go and sit in different spots I didn’t get bored once!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Perfect for quick ski overnight

The location was 10 minutes from Snow Trails, and was perfect for our trip. Very clean, plenty of the expected amenities. If icy, could be challenging to get to, property manager gave us a heads up about this. Highly recommend!

After Christmas retreat

We chose this amazing place for our family trip to Snowtrails for some snow tubing. The property was amazingly close to Snowtrails. Once we arrived at the property, the pictures in the ad doesn’t do it justice. My whole family loved the amenities and the extras. We will stay again but for a longer period. Perfect cabin getaway

Twenty teachers enjoyed this perfect cabin in the woods, for the second time. Plenty of space, kitchen fully stocked (just need a garbage disposal), comfy beds, and great outdoor area. We will be back.

The property was stunning. Amenities were wonderful. The labeling of the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen was super helpful. Bedrooms were cozy on all floors. All the games were a big hit. Highly recommend as we plan to head back ourselves.

Wow, just WOW. This home is absolutely next-level. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the luxury, attention to detail, and the sheer beauty of the space. The design is stunning, the rooms are immaculate and high-end, and every corner of the home feels both cozy and upscale.The game setups are incredible, so much fun for all ages. The pool was a total hit, the hot tub was perfect under the stars, and the surrounding nature made it feel like a true escape from reality. It was the ideal place for the kids to play, explore, and make memories, while the adults had tons of space to relax and reconnect, both indoors and out.Fully stocked to the nines, this cabin had absolutely everything we could have wanted and more. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create the perfect getaway. We had the most amazing time and can’t recommend it highly enough.Five stars isn’t enoug, this place is a true gem, a dream escape, and a place we’ll definitely be returning to!

Already Dreaming of Going Back!

This house is incredible! Inside is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. We were a big family group and the house had a giant table big enough for all 15 of us. The kitchen was well stocked. From the fire pit to the pool to the hot tub to the garage of games- this place made it easy to make memories and have an unforgettable time. Hosts were easy to reach and even left a small welcome basket of s’mores supplies!

We’re Siri and Ken. We are east-coasters who come from large extended families and were raised where gatherings of family and friends made up many of our happy childhood memories. We knew we wanted to raise our son, Ashwin, in a similar environment. We spend many weekends hosting family from near and far and know the importance of making people feel welcome in our home.

The Hillside has been a dream of ours for years. It is a place for gathering- where friends and family can reconnect, relax, and create lasting memories.
