Waena Inn offers a comfortable and authentic Maui lodging experience in the historic town of Wailuku. Our property features private studio-style suites, each thoughtfully designed for simplicity, convenience, and value. With units approximately 300 sq. ft., guests may choose between ground-level rooms with 9 ft. ceilings or upstairs rooms with 12 ft. ceilings for an open and airy feel. ADA-accessible units and additional bedding options are available to accommodate a variety of travel needs.

What makes Waena Inn special is its central location and local character. Just 8–12 minutes from OGG Kahului Airport and 5–10 minutes from Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kaiser, and other medical facilities, our inn is especially appreciated by traveling nurses, visiting families, business guests, and travelers who want easy access to explore the island. This place was close to the airport and a fantastic choice for one night after flying in on a late flight. Communication with the host was amazing from start to finish - they are so friendly, responsive, and even give neighbourhood recommendations. Check-in and out is super easy. The place was clean and AC was a nice edition. Some walkable restaurants nearby as well.

We booked 1 night last minute due to an unexpected change in plans arriving to Hawaii a day early. Communication was excellent. Host provided a list of local restaurants to help us plan the day. We arrived late so just wanted to get a good rest. Room was clean and comfortable. Recently updated.

Great stay

This place is beautifully renovated! Huge, comfortable, clean rooms! The bed was by far the comfiest we had on the whole trip. There are some great restaurants within walking distance. Communication was clear and quick and they were really hospitable on arrival! Bathroom was sparkling clean, but the shower had low water pressure. However that seems to be the case everywhere in Maui. As far as bang for your buck this place seemed a bit pricy for the location. But we had a great stay!
