Dies ist ein einzigartiges Juwel auf der Stagecoach-Strecke im Heavenly Valley. In Tahoe Village können Sie nur mit der ganzen Familie Ski fahren. Heavenly Valley ist das größte Skigebiet in Nordamerika. Stagecoach (Intermediate Run) ist der beste Zugangspunkt zu Double Diamond Runs wie Mott's, Milkyway, North Bowl und vielen anderen.

Andere werben für Ski in / Ski out, aber keine anderen sind näher als wir. Die Haustür ist 25 'von der Flucht entfernt. Wirklich ein unglaublicher Ort für jene eingefleischten Bergenthusiasten! Die Lodge wurde im August 2010 gekauft und umgebaut und neu eingerichtet. Der Eigentümer kümmert sich um alle Buchungen sowie An- und Abreise und bemüht sich, Ihren Aufenthalt zu 100% angenehm zu gestalten und freut sich auf Ihre Rückreise.

Die Lodge bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Lift, das Carson Valley und natürlich die Berge und Skigebiete. Da wir uns am Hauptlift befinden, sind die Straßen frei und in der Regel problemlos.

Die freistehende Garage für 2 Autos bietet Platz für die gesamte Skiausrüstung. Es ist sehr praktisch, einfach von der Piste abzusteigen und in der Garage umzuziehen und die gesamte Ausrüstung für den nächsten Tag dort zu lassen

Die Lodge selbst erstreckt sich über 3 Ebenen und verfügt über Holzbalkendecken, Eichenböden, Felswände, 2 Gaskaminöfen, einen großartigen Raum, der die Küche, das Wohnzimmer und einen formellen Esstisch umfasst, der bequem Platz für 16 Personen bietet.
Ein geräumiger, geschlossener Wintergarten mit einer unglaublichen Aussicht und bequemen Massageliegen. Das Familienzimmer hat mit Zedernholz ausgekleidete Wände, einen wunderschönen Billardtisch in Braunschweig, einen Großbildfernseher und eine 20-Fuß-Zedernholzbar mit Waschbecken.

Die Schlafzimmer haben alle Aussicht und sind schön für Ihren Komfort eingerichtet.

Hausmeisterwohnung unter Haus ist auch manchmal verfügbar und wird häufig von einem Teilzeitbewohner besetzt. Es hat ein französisches Bett, eine voll ausgestattete Küche und ein Bad. (zuzüglich $ 145, 00 pro Nacht)

Bei Zahlung mit Kreditkarte wird eine Gebühr in Höhe von 2,5% erhoben.

Incredible!!!

I hosted a wellness retreat here (in June) and it was fantastic!! I will definitely return. Why 5 ? Beautiful views inside and out, it’s quiet, serene, 13 min from town, close to many trails, 7 private rooms - several with private baths, big community space for eating and being together but also plenty of space to be alone. Kitchen is super functional and has plenty of what you need, laundry onsite on 2 out of the 4 floors and the owner was VERY communicative, responsive and accommodating. I had a full house and it was never cramped or crowded. Considerations: if you don’t like or cant do stairs, this house isn’t for you.

The place was great for our group. Lots of rooms and it was clean. It is truly ski in ski out. You just have to walk across the street to get to the slopes. I would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic Host & House

We are still smiling from our great ski trip with friends! This home had everything we needed and then some! We cooked all our meals in the house and all 14 of us fit perfectly! We loved being right on Stagecoach making it so easy to hit the slopes whenever we wanted! We especially enjoyed being able to sled once the lift closed. The host was very responsive to all my questions. Thank you, Brandi, for helping to make our trip so enjoyable!

Roomy fun house

We had a great time at The Bear on the Roof. Great location for hiking, going to town, etc. Kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were comfortable, plenty of room to gather with family. Just loved the extra large kitchen table. We enjoyed the Lake Tahoe area immensely!

Does Not Get Much Better!!

This multi-level house is great for families. It is spacious, with lots of room for everyone. Be prepared to climb stairs, but well worth it for the view and the privacy. We made Thanksgiving dinner in the large, well-equipped kitchen without lacking for anything. Great location and the owner was very helpful to us.

great location

This place had awesome vies of the slopes and great amenities. We cooked big dinners upstairs and and the table fit us all perfectly. They had everything you need to set the table for a feast and to cook it. We were able to party downstairs without bothering people upstairs. Waking up and walking across the street to the ski run was awsome and very convenient. We would definitely stay here again. I've rented dozens of cabins in tahoe and this one is one of the best.

Great Family Vacation Home

This house did not disappoint, it was a great property to stay at for our large family vacation in South Lake Tahoe. The house offered ample space to spread out and relax. Check in/Check out was smooth and easy. The one thing I will say is be prepared to get a bit of workout in, this property is set on an incline so the house has several flights of steps to get just even to the main door of the house, but trust me it is worth it! Overall my family and I had a lovely stay here, and would recommend to all!

Most Accomodating Place to Stay

We were in Tahoe for a wedding. Being the Groom's family, we hosted the rehearsal dinner. All condiments, spices, pots, crockpots, great grill, etc were all available to us. The bedrooms comfortable slept 14 of us. In addition to the house itself being fabulous, there were walking trails nearby that were fun to hike. The only warning I would have, is there are 55 steps to get up to the main floor of the house. Even our over 70 year olds were able to make it up, because there were nice landing stops to rest.

Family Ski Trip

Pros * Owners/Property managers were very nice and responsive * Location of the property for a private sledding trail is unmatched * Ski in ski out access was fantastic * Proximity to the Stagecoach lodge to rent skis was awesome...so close, so easy, no waiting * Internet worked great, TVs had multiple streaming devices, was great * Plenty of dishes, cookware, spices available to use which was great as we didn't drive much once there. We cooked in every meal. Ordered Safeway grocery delivery * views from the reading room were amazing...we could watch our kids sled, have snowball fights and ski down the hill ----Cons: Detached garage wasn't great. It snowed a TON and we had to trounce through the snowy stairs outside to get to our garage where skis where, etc The place is very old and eclectic and could certainly benefit from a remodel and get refreshed. The lighting is dim.

Seventeen of us found ample space to relax with plenty of bed space for all. We rented the House, Servant quarters, and Guest House over the garage for a very reasonable price. The Stagecoach lift is within 4 minutes from the front door. That included walking across the street in ski boots climbing up the snow, putting on skies, and casually skiing down and having a seat on the chair. I timed it. The house, with a table that sat all 17 of us, was comfortable and made everybody feel at home. The house does have stairs that must be climbed but those stairs also provide for a view of the Stagecoach area. We ended leaving our shoes in the garage or the enclosed stairs, after boot up. We ate lunch at the house instead of on the mountain. It is very hard to find a house of this sort anywhere near ski in and ski out. The owner, Bob, was very helpful and accommodated all of our needs.

Overall Great Property and Location!

Spacious and very comfortable in the main house, cabin, and studio. Kitchen is very well appointed for cooking and gathering. Owner addressed a plumbing issue quickly and shoveled as much snow as possible when the storm cleared. Large garage area is perfect for donning/doffing and storing ski gear. Very convenient. There are many steps from street level into the main house. This was problematic to negotiate in icy conditions with tired legs at the end of the day. WiFi is dependent on T-Mobile cell towers that were adversely affected by a storm. The numerous and very nice TVs therefore could not be used for several days. If you plan to work at the location, prepare to bring a non-T-Mobile hotspot to ensure WiFi Access. The weather is not the owner's fault, but the Ski-On/Ski-Off feature, which was our main objective, required scaling a 12-foot wall of snow and ice to reach the Stagecoach trail and lift due to the record snowfall. Plus, most of the mountain was closed for most of the week, and skiing from the Nevada side to the California side of the mountain (and vice versa) was impossible. We had to rent a taxi twice ($100 round trip each time) to transport us and our equipment to and from the California Lodge. For this reason, the property was extremely expensive for our party of 9 people with limited skiing in a record snow year. However, on the days we skied the Nevada side only (we could not get to the top of the mountain until Thursday), once we got used to scaling the wall of snow and ice, it was very convenient to have direct access to the slope. Communication with the owner(s) was excellent in the months leading up to the trip and during the trip. Very responsive! In spite of all the complications due to weather, we left with a good feeling about our time there and will return at a future date.

Perfect location with plenty of room

Great access to Heavenly and plenty of room for a large group. Lots of parking available too. We enjoyed the pool table in the living room/lounge in the evenings!

AWESOME Vrbo Experience in Tahoe!

For anyone considering a place in Tahoe, you will not find a better rental experience than this property. The house is amazing and very conveniently located in South Lake Tahoe to the lake and attractions. I will warn you - once you get to the house you might not want to ever leave it! We travelled to Tahoe for my bachelor party and the house was perfect; plenty of room for a large group and an amazing location for hosting. The pictures of the property look amazing, and I didn't think they did the property justice when we arrived. Along with the house, the owners created an optimum Vrbo experience. They are extremely responsive and helped us prepare for our trip. If you're coming to South Lake Tahoe, I highly recommend this house and owner!
