The condo and location were beautiful. We were not happy with the cleanliness or communication during our stay. The sheets on the pull out couch were very dirty along with the spare sheets/pillow cases in the closet. There were actual crumbs and makeup all over the sheets. There was a half empty bottle of water found under the main bedroom bed when we arrived and a stray sock under the pull out couch. We also found the previous occupants makeup under the coffee table. When I messaged the property manager about the dirty sheets, they didnt respond until the following morning saying they would "let the operations team know". Shortly after, someone showed up to give us clean sheets but not to take the dirty ones or change the sheets themselves. The next day, around 5pm, while my daughters were swimming in the pool, a young boy pooped in the pool (diarrhea floating all around). We got out of the pool and immediately messaged the property manager but since they had left for the day, there was no one to respond (or close the pool to other guests!!) until 9am the next day. So the pool stayed open. I got a response to my message the next morning which again simply said they would let their operations team know. Later (early afternoon) the following day the pool was finally closed for service. There should absolutely be protocol in place for these types of situations. We loved the location but the cleanliness was below average and the communication was disappointing.

The place was clean and close to excellent restaurants. We assumed we were staying in the two story building but were in the rooms attached to the office. Had full kitchen and everything you need. The only downside...had lots of rain but that's Florida at this time of year!

Pool is great as are the convenience of the washer and dryers . Everything is dated and needs some love! Rusted coffee pot, paper towel holder and bath room cosmetic mirror. Bath tub had mold on the tile and rust on the bath tub stopper. Oven element shorted when turned on. Air and dans work great! Ice maker has leak but made ice. Towel drying rack is rusted.

Perfect Stay on the Beach

We had a relaxing, peaceful stay at Silver Sands right on a beautiful 10 mile beach. Our efficiency was comfortable and cozy with a functional kitchen for cooking in. We had access to umbrellas and chairs for the beach and poolside. Lots to do if you wanted to venture out or stay and walk the beautiful endless beach. We will be back!

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation at Silver Sands. The unit was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Great Location

Great location, friendly staff, vrbo needs updated cooking pots/pans dishes, etc. Probably to be expected after the hurricane, but if open, then these need to be updated so people staying have the ability to eat in while there. Otherwise, great stay, all you need for the beach!

Off to a bad start, then it got worse

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived the first day and were told that the previous guest took the key and our room could not be cleaned. Instead of having our room at 4 PM we would not be able to take possession until 5:30. Our unit was very nice. Our second stint began a few days later and we were told the pool was closed, why? no one said. It remained closed of two days. We were told that we could use the small pool from the resort next store, no thanks. Then, the next day we were told our water would be shut off part of the day, with no explanation. Because we need to use water for several things including the bathroom, we made plans to be out of the resort for the better part of the day. When we checked out and inquired about some reasonable discount for late check in, no pool and no water, we were told we would have to write RVA. The Unit was roomy, quiet location in complex even though next to parking; the trees and shrubs give you a lot of privacy, especially as an end unit. Kitchen well equipped and CLEAN! Good water pressure, HOT water, lots of towels, pullout couch. Bed is a full-size, small but cozy and comfy. Nice enclosed/screened patio with a table and chairs; again CLEAN! Good HVAC. Only suggestion would be to replace the bed pillows, but we always bring our own so it was not an issue.
