Family Celebration

Super nice space for multiple generations to stay while at larger family event. All rooms were well appointed and clean. Directions for accessing the rental were clear. We enjoyed our stay. We misread location on the map which showed this as being near downtown (I have screenshot) and although this was not walkable to campus/downtown we would recommend to anyone if that specific location was not desired.

Very nice property and patient host

A very nice property just as described. We also appreciated the patience of the owner as some additional cleaning was needed after our stay. Our only suggestion is for VRBO to be more accurate with the visual mapping of the location as it is a bit further away from downtown than we expected. However we recommend the property based on the layout, etc. as described.

Fabulous, clean townhouse on outskirts of ECU

The property owner was accessible and emailed all necessary information. The place was super clean, and all house rules and amenities were easy to find and understand. My only suggestion is that the map location on the initial online listing needs to be updated. It shows the property on the "grid" near ECU. We were looking for a place where we could walk around campus. Once we got the address, it was about a 12-15 drive from campus. We adjusted quickly though, and were happy with the accommodations.

College visits

I was visiting with family during spring break for a college visit to ECU. I picked this location based on its stellar reviews and the location stated on its page as being close to ECU (6 min walk) and in the downtown area. I received check in address two days before arrival to find that the actual location was no where near where the VRBO listing had stated. I reached out to the host but only received standard automated replies via the VRBO site and via email. One of the emails listed a set of rules of which there were at least 10 boldly stated “DO NOT” do this or that. At the end of the email it states that the cleaning crew is meticulous in their inspection of house when guests leave thus implying that the guest will be caught if rules are broken. I believe that I am very respectful guest and would never leave a home in any condition other than which I found it. The tone of the email left my whole family on edge and uncomfortable in the house. We were afraid to use anything in the kitchen. With the statement of all of the rules around cleanliness and maintenance of the home I was surprised to find dirty laundry in the washer. We were informed hours before check in that a bed was broken and nothing could be done to fix it. Nothing was offered in compensation nor was an apology offered for the incorrect listing of location. I was also disappointed by the master bed simply being a box spring and mattress set on the floor. It was very uncomfortable getting in and out of bed.
