We had a fantastic stay! Pam sent lots of great information and recommendations before we arrived. The house was better than we had hoped! There aren’t many pictures of the inside of the house, so I was a little worried, but it was perfect! Great beds and lots of space for my family to spread out and sleep comfortably!We brought our two dogs, which they happily accommodated, and the had lots of dog gates which were really a nice touch. Overall we had a great experience and would stay again!!

Loved the views on the front and back decks. A relaxing vacation for hiking or just sitting on the deck watching the hummingbirds. Also text owner responded to my questions right away.

Excellent views and very comfortable!

My husband and I had an amazing 7 day stay. The views were beautiful and every evening there were deer in the yard! The house is very comfortable and has great amenities! Pam was so helpful and answered all questions fast! We hope to stay here again in the near future!

Great Mountain Getaway

We had a great time for a few days of skiing and exploring. Pam was an excellent host with great communication well in advance of the stay and throughout. The house is in a great location close enough to town but also away enough to get some seclusion. Amazing views in every direction. It had everything needed including firewood for those cold nights.

Great location

This was the perfect spot for skiing Monarch and going to Salida for shopping and dinner. The owners were wonderful people to work with. We would stay there again!

Cabin with views

Easy rental with an excellent host with a comfortable home. Cabin is in the mountains, close to the town of Salida, hiking trails, rafting- lots to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Cozy cabin

Excellent location to access both town and nature. Much nicer inside than the pictures. Only downside was some lingering pet hair, but that is likely unavoidable in pet friendly rentals.

Lovely retreat

We escaped for a week from our busy life and celebrated Thanksgiving in Salida. My husband and I took our three children and our three dogs and had such a great time. The hosts were amazing with their communication and all of their helpful local tips. It was so nice to have such a dog friendly home. We are definitely hoping to go back again some day!

Colorado Vacation

We loved our stay at Mountain Manor. Clean home with attention to details. The front porch was our favorite spot to relax, take in the view and watch the hummingbirds. We appreciated the information about the area and enjoyed visiting the waterfall, catching trout and picnicking at Fooses Reservoir, and eating yummy ice cream in Salida. We would definitely stay here again.

Warm and cozy

Mountain Manor was warm and cozy. The fireplace insert was great, though there wasn't any kindling to light a fire and no hatchet. The views are fantastic! The kitchen, though small, is very well supplied. The location is great for skiing at Monarch and close to town.

Really enjoyed our stay

Pam made it very easy from booking to checking in and checking out. Her pictures do not do the cabin justice. It was simply amazing. The cabin was clean and had any and everything you could possibly think of. This was my very first time to Colorado and was not disappointed. Thank you for allowing us to rent your property we will definitely do so again.

Beauty at the doorstep!

Everything in the pictures for the surrounding environment were almost underrated at how beautiful the area really is. The location is just "out" enough to be quiet and immersed in the mountains, but close enough to get to town for anything and everything you need. The house itself is cozy, warm, and also complete with everything you need, and a lot more. We will likely be back, as this area is very nice. Our family is out to the general area several times every year, and this will likely be a place we use again! Very nice, and we ALL thank you!

Absolutely PERFECT

We stayed at Mountain Manor for a week. We had never been to the Salida area before this trip and loved it so much we are sure we will be back! This beautiful cabin was absolutely perfect! The photos don't do it justice. Gorgeous views, peaceful calm having coffee on the gorgeous porches in the morning watching the birds, and so much more. We had everything we needed and more, and our hosts were super communicative and very sweet. Just 15 minutes from Salida, 15 minutes to the Monarch Gondola (which is now open!), and within an hour of tons of wonderful entertainment like the Royal Gorge Railroad, Cottonwood Hot Springs, Arkansas River fun, and great restaurants. The Mountain Spirit winery is just a mile down the road and it was really cool to visit! If you're looking for the perfect place to enjoy some peace and relaxation (or even some exciting fun on the river, shopping, etc.) over the summer, this is it! Can't wait to come back and check out the winter activities someday too. :) Thanks so much to Pam and Greg for an outstanding vacation!

Very disappointed

When we arrived, we found a dirty house. The vegetable and fruit drawers inside of the refrigerator had crumbs of food in them. Upstairs, the bathroom sink had soap spots around the rim and the faucet was dirty. There was a large clump of hair in the upstairs toilet. All of the windows were dirty on the sills and there were dead flies on many of the window sills. I pulled out a TV tray to use to put my computer on and there were large areas of dirt in two places with stuff that had to be scrubbed off first before I could even use it. On the main floor, we found a bug that was either a bat bug or a bed bug near the fireplace so we packed up all of our things, left the house, and called the owner. The owner tried to justify the dirt, saying this is to be expected because it’s a log cabin. But I have lived in a log cabin before, so I know it wouldn't be the cause of debris in the toilet and refrigerator, nor what I found on the TV tray. The owner told us her exterminator would not be until 5 days later to verify what the bug was. We were not comfortable staying at the property without knowing. She asked us to put the bug in a jar, which we did. We requested a refund.We continued to contact the owner. Finally, she told us Orkin said the bug appeared to be a bed bug. She said Orkin spent 4 1/2 hours there but did not find any other evidence of bed bugs. why did Orkin stay there so long if there was no problem ?vRBO needs to change their bug policy when bedbugs are involved

We have rented this cabin before because of its warm cozy feel. It is so quiet and oh the stars we could see at night. The mattresses on the beds were fantastic when you have back and hip issues this makes huge difference. Pam was great to get info to check in and area places to see and restaurants nearby. Wonderful

We stayed here while making our way across Colorado. The view was stunning and the house was perfect for our needs. While staying here, we visited Great Sand Dunes National Park, Monarch Mountain, St. Elmo, Salida and Buena Vista, but, honestly, it would have been a great place to just chill for a few days, too. Highly recommend whether you're looking for a centrally located place for visiting or want to just relax.

Spring in the Rockies

And no better place to spend it than Mountain Manor. We had a wonderful time. We continue to stay there because it suits us perfectly…the location, the views, the quiet neighborhood are all things on our must have list. And the house is just a comfortable, soothing place to land. That and the beautiful birds, visiting deer, 360 views, and a very caring helpful host keep bringing us back.

Spring Break Trip
