This beautiful 2 bedroom 3 story home is perfect for channeling your inner artist or enjoying the local wineries and co-ops. With room to sleep 8 this is the perfect space for the whole family or a couples getaway. Enjoy playing games or painting in the sunroom.

The space is a truly unique space built by a local family of artists utilizing materials and styles true to northern NM. Updated to be comfortable and modern bosting lost of natural light. Built straight up into the sky the home consists of three stories with stairways leading up to the houses unique spaces.

House guests have the entire house to themselves, including its patios and sunroom stocked with painting supply.

Loved the unique home. It was clean and had the amenities needed for our stay. Although we didn’t need much interaction with the host, he was helpful and timely with information about our stay.

Great access to skiing and dog friendly

We enjoyed the stay. The house is cozy and perfect for a ski weekend. The fenced yard in the back is great for dogs. The host is vet responsive.

A great place

Me and a colleague came out to NM for a snowboarding trip and really enjoyed this house, it’s far enough from cities that you can see the stars at night but close enough to Taos and the ski village that it was a 30 minute drive.

Ski getaway

This was a great property for our ski trip to Sipapu. It was exactly as pictured and described. Plenty of space to hang out. All newly renovated. Very nice!

As described

Very easy check-in and check-out process. We enjoyed the home - especially the upstairs with its skylights. Exactly as advertised. Kitchen is very well stocked and heaters do a great job in keeping the house cozy. Only advice: if you arrive after sunset - familiarize yourself with the layout on a map or it could be tough to find where to turn. Great stay, very thankful for the last minute accommodations. Will come back!

The Property Person was very accomodating and managed to keep up with many different requests. I would caution Seniors & anyone with mobility issues that this cute Cabin may not be best suitedfor you.

Overall the stay was pleasant. Onlyba couple issues. Quite a few bugs in the showers and in the windows. Purchased a fan in order to fight the heat in the upstairs bedroom. The first night it didn't drop below 85. We were gone most of the day, only coming back to shower and sleep.

The house

We had a group of 8 people. Manager was really quick at responding. The biggest room was the upstairs so when we played games we hung out up there. There was 3 different levels so the adults hung out downstairs and then 2 of the kids hung out on the middle floor and the other 2 kiddos hung out upstairs. The only thing that would have been nice is if they had bunk beds on top floor. The couch and futon was not comfortable at all and we went and got air mattresses for the kids to sleep on. Other than that it was a good stay.

We had a great time, staying with friends in the house and doing activities in the area. Some of us went to Sipapu and some of us hiked. It was great to have our dog in the house with us. Everything you could need in the kitchen is there. The house was spotless. We mostly hung out at the beautiful dining table with benches but there is also a living space on the third floor. The Chiripada winery is great and a few houses down the road. In order to reach the bedrooms and the living space on the third floor, you have to climb stairs. This was OK for us but could be an issue for some people. Also, it would be difficult to fit 8 adults. There was a futon on the third floor, along with a king bed but it would be difficult to fit two adults on the futon. On the second floor, there’s a queen bed and a sofa that looks like it could be flattened, though we didn’t try. It looks like it could fit two smaller adults. Luckily we were four adults and three small teens and everyone found a place to sleep.

We had a great stay at Dixon Wine House. We found it to be spacious, clean, and well-appointed in design. We also loved the big fenced in yard where our dog, a vizsla, could run off-leash. The home had just the right kind and amount of cooking and dining utensils—likewise bedding, linens, etc. Everything guests might need had been thought of, all was well done, yet nothing overly so. Similarly, our host was the perfect balance of prompt attention to our questions and needs, but never overbearing. Thank you, Dylan, for the lovely accommodations and your gracious hospitality. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Dixon Wine House. You can be sure we’ll be back!
Taos is only a 35 minute drive away.
