We enjoyed a wonderful 10-day stay in the Villa Marie. The house itself is a beautiful late nineteenth-century villa with several separate apartments. We were in the top one, the so-called "Penthouse".
The apartment is spacious, elegantly decorated (leather couches, perfectly coordinated wall hangings and many other touches). The kitchen is furnished with just about everything - we cooked a number of very nice dinners there.
There are a number of balconies as well - because it was winter, however, and there was a great deal of snow, we didn't use them. But we will be back in April and August and are looking forward to sitting outside in the evenings.
One thing I haven't mentioned yet is the peacefulness and quiet at Villa Marie. After a long, very full day, the Villa Marie is the best place to relax that I could imagine. But although it is peaceful, things like grocery stores etc. are right around the corner.
The owners were very helpful in everything, including with tips about where to find things, what restaurants to go to, what to see and do - and even lent us a lemon press from their own kitchen.
Conclusion: I would recommend the Villa Marie to anyone, anytime - and actually, I already have :-) !
