This 259 sq ft studio is the largest in the building, offers: 1 queen bed, 1 twin futon&air mattress; bath; kitchenette; 50 inch Samsung TV; computer desk/monitor; 100Mbps 5G Wifi/ethernet cables; dining counter and beach gears.
At 20th floor, strong cellular signal and amazing views: ocean, canal, park, diamond head, mountain, golf, sunrise and RAINBOW!
Very convenient, everything is in walking distance.
The building has a gym ($5 for your entire stay), Pool/Jacuzzi, BBQ deck area, Spa, Rent a Car, Bakery, Lounge, Night Club, Pub, and some great restaurants - Cream Pot and Maleko (you need to try their malasadas).
Very secure building with 24hr Security guards, secured key entry elevators, and security cameras on every hallway, entry way, and elevator.
Note: Twin Fulton sofa bed is best to sleep a child or small size adult in case needed.

Had a wonderful stay at this unit, especially with the convenience of the well stocked supplies! Preferred this area as it's further away from the much busier and crowded areas of Waikiki. For parking we ended up getting a monthly pass at another property a block away, Canterbury Parking Garage, which was more cost effective than paying daily onsite for our 2 week stay. Unit was great and clean, while being well stocked for comfort. Would definitely look to book here again in the future.

Staying here made our first time trip a success

Opening the door to the appartement was just WoW and then the view over looking Waikiki was superb. From the day of the booking throughout the trip, the owner was fantastic. We hope to get the opportunity to stay here for our next visit.

This place was a great central location for me. I was able to enjoy the beach, hiking, and attending the Maui Invite that was relocated to the Stan Sherif Arena. Close to restaurants and food trucks. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area and would stay here again.

10 days in Waikiki

My husband, teenage daughter & myself stayed for 9 nights. The room was clean & comfortable. It got a little tight with the futon folded out & our luggage (no closet space for luggage so it takes up a lot of the empty space. Pool & hot tub were great. Check in & out were easy. Rental is well located with lots within walking distance.

Our host, Yan was quick to answer questions and always so friendly. The unit is very tiny but had everything anyone could possibly need during their stay. Loved the view of Diamond Head as well as the Ala Wai canal. We loved eating at the local food trucks and the location was just across the street. The bus service is close and easy to navigate. We mainly walked everywhere but did have a car. Parking is quite expensive so we kept moving the car and was a bit of a hassle but nothing to get irritated about. My husband and I were able to celebrate my 70th birthday along with my daughter and friends that live here and also ring in the New Year. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Well-thought-out property

We had a great time while staying here. The location was awesome, and check in/out was very simple. The host was very responsive, and there were so many things included in the property (beach towels, kitchenette, laundry bag) that elevated our experience. There were the usual lights/sounds of a busy tourist destination, but ear plugs were even already at the property. I can’t recommend enough!

Great Place for a really good price.

For the price you cannot get a better place to stay. The monarch hotel is really safe, super convenient area. If you’re willing to look plenty of places to park on nearby streets (obviously leave valuable hidden or be smart and bring them with you). Being so close to the beach makes for fun walks at night around the canal, at the beach, to the nearby shops, and more. Overall a really good place for the price. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone who wants to stay in Waikiki.

The apartment we stayed in was extremely clean and comfortable. The location of the property was excellent for walking to the beach and to the local food trucks. You have a variety of food choices only a few feet from the apartment. All of the food we ate was very good. The building was noisy at times and you can hear the traffic late at night. You can also hear your neighbors talking from their apartments. We had a wonderful time and if I ever go back to Waikīkī I will stay at this VRBO again.

The room was very clean. Unfortunately, the walls of the hotel are very thin, so you can hear your neighbors, and they can hear you. So this detracts from the privacy of the room. Also, the actual location of the room was different from what was shown on the map on the VRBO site, which was an issue for me as I based my decision to stay there on the VRBO map location, which was incorrect. The bathroom was small, and the design of the shower base presented a minor tripping hazard. Also there is no clothes closet. But, otherwise, there were no major flaws. The room was equiped for basic cooking. The view was as advertised - Great sunrises. The bed was very comfortable. There are lots of excellent food venues all around. And it is right on many bus routes. On the whole, I enjoyed my stay there.

Apartment was nice, but hot. We had the AC running the whole time, but my friend sleeping on the futon was freezing while the rest of us were hot. Very clean though and loved that there were beach supplies and lots of info available everywhere for dining, shopping, and stuff to do!

We spent a week in this studio while visiting for a friend's wedding. Pro's:- 10 minute walk to the beach- Easy communication with the manager- You can store bags for a 5 fee per bag- Comfy bed and quiet buildingCons:- The apartment, particularly the bathroom, have a mildew smell - The building is quite old and outdated- The hallways in the building often smelled of smoke from people smoking in other units.

Thank you for the stay, just as you mentioned, all buildings in waikiki area were building in 70th, 80th, if you’re looking for a new building, you may need to book some other area like Ko Olina. My unit was full renovated, my cleaning lady think the mold smell may come from drain pipe and thanks for the feedback, she is going to buy special products to remove it ASAP.

Excellent location and clean!

Pleasantly surprised with our rental. It was clean and the unit provided everything that we may need but didn’t bring with us such as beach stuff (bag, towels, snorkeling stuff), to umbrellas and sunscreen and after care for sun burns. This unit included a nice work desk area and although the shower was small, it was clean and updated. Parking on-site was pricey and street parking was hit or miss. You don’t need a car - everything is walking distance. Great communication with the manager. I’d definitely rent this unit again!

I had a couple of questions for the owner, and she got back to me really quickly. The condo is set up really well, so with 3 adults, we did not feel crowded, and everything we needed was there - plenty of plugs, blankets, towels, extra toilet paper and paper towels, a/c worked well, scissors, microwave, toaster oven, little frig. There’s a coffee shop/bakery right downstairs, and other shops/restaurants are nearby. We walked easily to the Convention Center and to the Ala Moana Center. Parking is a little steep at $45/day in the parking garage, but that’s Honolulu, and it’s secure. We would do this again!

Great place to stay.

This was a great place. I loved the view and location. We walked from the room to the harbor in about 5 minutes. The host was great. We stayed on the north shore the first few nights of our stay. We had to be out of our place by 10am. I messaged the host to see if we could check in earlier and they said the room was ready and we could go in anytime. It saved us from having to figure out something to do for a few hours between locations. The only thing I wish I had known prior to staying here was the cost of parking. I knew we had to pay and that they only take cash, but to know the daily fee would have been nice. Otherwise, great place to stay for me and my wife.

Clean, cute and well located

Clean, secure and well located in Waikiki. AC worked well, bed was comfy and a nice view of the river. No lanai and small studio space with no closets but had what we needed and worked well for our needs. Beach umbrella, cooler and scuba gear provided. The futon is good enough and the blowup mattress is a plus. Lots of sheets, towels and pillow cases. Easy checkin process a please understand parking is $45 per day or $40 for multiple nights - still for the overall price it was sufficient .Would recommend overall and owner replied quickly and was very accommodating. Fridge worked but freezer didn’t freeze, no biggie but good to know. Had hot plate, toaster oven, hair dryer too. Great cute place!

We stayed 10 nights. The bathroom was could have been a bit cleaner. The bed was the most difficult to sleep in. It was a memory foam bed and if your a senior, you need a lot more support than a memory foam bed can offer. Needless to say, I woke with severe lower back pain that lasted the whole time we were there. My wife also had difficulty with this mattress. It would have been nice if the cost for parking was given so we would have been better prepared. The place was quite nice with a nice view of the canal from the 20th floor. You could barely see the ocean though as the hotel is quite a bit away. The room seemed well equipped with dishes, glasses and utensils, and a small refrigerator. There was also free Wi-Fi and TV. We weren't in the room very much except to sleep so we didn't use much of anything. Overall, a nice place in a good location for a decent price.

Quick stay

The property was good location to walk to Waikiki. Parked along the Ala wai canal for free daily and the view from the unit was pretty. Only downfall here is the neighbors were really loud some mornings, someone was smoking a cigarette you could smell from our room filled the air, and the bed needs an update BAD. My back was hurting the whole trip because of how awful the mattress was. If they would put a new matress in I would say it would make it way better. Did enjoy that the place was equipped with all supplies you needed like towels, beach gear, and the ac worked really well for it being in Hawaii. Update your mattress please!

Thank you very much for the stay. This is a non-smoking building, you should have let building security knows immediately if someone smokes or making noise, the phone number is placed on the back of entry door. And yes, new mattress is on the way.

Excellent location in Waikiki.

Beautiful studio condo within a hotel. Very clean. Excellent location. Nice view of canal, faces east for sunrise views, can also see ocean. You can easily walk to anything in Waikiki. Beach is an easy 7-8 minute walk. Also on bus route. Host included lots of little extras like snorkel equipment, beach umbrella, boogie board, rain umbrellas, coffee and creamer and sweeteners, dish soap, laundry soap (laundry available in building), as well as regular linens and towels. Kitchen is equipped with normal needs. Big pool and big deck and 2 hottubs. Checkin and out is extremely easy. Host responds very quickly to any questions. Feels like a safe area. I had no problems. It was a perfect home away from home. I would highly recommend this place.
