Enter the home between both floors through the staircase foyer. The main floor is appointed with a living room with high vaulted ceilings accented with a canoe lighting fixture, wood fireplace, entertainment center, breakfast bar, open kitchen with granite countertops, and separate dining space with a table made from wooden bleachers of the Cal Memorial Stadium circa 1927. Large windows and a sliding glass door to the front of the home bring the outside in. The top floor is rounded out with a 1/2 bath and the primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a gas fireplace and a separate sliding glass door to a separate private deck area.
On the lower floor, entertaining is easy and fun in the grand media room with access to the large back deck, gas BBQ grill (summers only), outdoor seating area and hot tub overlooking the Tahoe National forest.
This floor provides the majority of the sleeping space and offers (3) bedrooms that surround the great room. Bedroom #1 is furnished with a king bed, Bedroom #2 has a full size bunk bed to sleep 4, along with a sofa and desk. These bedrooms share an elegantly appointed bathroom. Bedroom #3 offers private access from the outside deck and has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom (must go about 4 steps outside to access it).
This home is equipped with state of the art electronics including smart tvs and a blue ray dvd player in the media room.
Whispering Pines Lodge provides direct backyard access to TXC's cross country skiing trails in the winter and hiking/biking/dog walking trails in the summer. No need to pack up the car with skis/bikes/dogs and find a place to play….. you can go directly from the house!
Nearby beach access is also available at the Skylandia State Park and Beach approximately 1.5 miles away. The proximity to North Tahoe High School opens up additional facilities such as tennis courts and the track & field during the summer months. Tahoe City is just under 4 miles from the house and offers a plethora of restaurants, shopping stores, 2 grocery stores, a movie theater and fitness centers. During the summer you can attend the free Concerts on Commons Beach (Sunday afternoons) and during the winter months you will have easy access to the north Tahoe ski resorts.
