Find out why our guests keep coming back year after year. This is a Longhorn ranch, with tons of amenities. Heated 15 foot Master Spa (Swim Spa), Watch TV from the hot tub, at this private & peaceful Gated Texas Ranch! The above ground pool is seasonal and available from April 1 to November 15. There is a dedicated game room that has Arcade games, Sauna, Blackjack table, Darts, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, Ping Pong, Foosball, 8' Pool Table, Xbox One, PlayStation 4! There are a total of 10 Smart TV's (including ADU, and they are up to 75" - these are in game room & a 70" is in living room), There is also a dedicated Poker room, that can seat 8. We also have a dedicated Event or activity room that has game tables, Playstation 4, board games, and much more! Beautiful Outdoor Fireplace, 3 Grills (Gas & Charcoal BBQ) in a separate covered cooking area, Hoops, & just minutes to restaurants, donuts, & much more! Frisbee golf. Poker room with ceiling fan, poker table for 8, and comfy couch). Two water parks and miniature golf not far away (seasonal). Even a playground play structure. We have over 40 Five star reviews on that “other” travel website, as of March 11, 2024. There is an OPTIONAL ADU, that is for guest counts of 10 or more. The ADU has a queen bed and a twin bed that converts from a chair to bed, with coffee bar, full bath, and 50" TV. Game room has a large refrigerator to keep your beverages cold! 15 miles to the Stockyards. A half mile to Stoney Ridge Villa! We are 8 miles to the Old Orchard wedding Venue. About 11-12 minutes to the Brooks Wedding Venue. There are multiple dining options: inside dining area, outside back patio has a dining table, and for large groups you can put a table cloth over the ping pong table to seat a dozen or more.
There is a optional Bounce House. The rate is $499 for the bounce house, with a 3 night minimum. Please ask about availability. Must sign liability release.
We do have Longhorns on the property. It is your responsibility to use the door locks, to make sure kids do not use pool unattended.
This home is out in the country, so you might encounter insects, deer, venomous snakes (we have never seen any), wild animals, and poison ivy.

First of all, great host with great communication!! Plenty of room for my family, fun game room and the longhorns were so fun to watch. We didn't get to enjoy all the amenities - we were busy with a wedding but would love to go back and enjoy the outside more. Don't hesitate to book - you won't be disappointed!

Perfect getaway.

Th house was amazing. There were some broken items such as stools and chairs. We also had to go buy towels because there was only four that we could find. And there were 7 adults and 4 children. They had a lot of amenities and it kept the kids busy. We enjoyed the poker room and the outdoor patio.

Great comfortable quiet stay.

Great location and seclusion. Very peaceful with plenty of room inside and out. Early check in was fantastic and communication with owner was phenomenal throughout the entire stay. Would definitely stay here again. Only some small recommendations. Water pressure overall was a little too harsh, but not a big deal. Game area could use updated everything. With that being said overall 9/10 stay. Thank you so much for making my friends bachelor party weekend a massive success.

The host was very nice and attentive. The location was nice but, the property needs a lot of attention! There was a cockroach in the kitchen drawer, both refrigerators were visibly dirty, the beds were elevated with bricks, one bed did not have box springs and sat very low to the ground, the top sheet on one bed was too small and was turned sideways to make it fit vertically, the pans were old and terrible (the teflon was so scratched everything stuck to them), there wasn’t enough dishes, glasses (only 1 wine glass), etc in the kitchen, the grounds were messy(pool toys were scattered about, but pool didn’t have water), outdoor furniture near pickleball courts were in poor condition, the wine opener was broken, no striker for the fireplace, the bed pillows were old and flat (we had to put 2 pillows in one pillowcase to make a regular sized pillow), the outdoor light on the cottage was not working, the towel holders in the cottage bathroom were hanging out of the wall, other bathrooms had base holders in the wall with no holder attached, the jacuzzi was dirty and the cover was caved in holding a significant amount of water on top, screens and blinds were ripped and broken, some barstools were broken with the wood tops only sitting on the metal frame- not attached- creating safety issues and fall risk, one bathroom faucet sprayed horizontally when you turned it on- often wetting people’s clothing, the step up ledge on the outdoor patio is a fall risk- sloped, and not marked,

A few years ago, we got a bad review at at another property because of a swimming pool issue. The only problem was that house did not have a pool. Someone else got our great review, and we got someone elses bad review. I can only assume this is what happened here also. We have seen ants at this property but never a cockroach, which is why we have ant traps. We have many new SS pots and pans, we have lighters in the house, on the fireplace, and in the BBQ area. We have never seen a faucet that sprayed horizontally. The bar stools are metal and not broken. I could go on and on, either he gave us someone elses review or he has never said an honest word in his lifetime.

Perfect for a wedding party, very close to The Brooks

We were in town for a wedding at The Brooks in Weatherford, this property was fantastic for having some fun, playing some games, hanging out, and accommodating our friends and family who were in town for the wedding. Highly recommend it! Its 10 minutes away from the wedding venue and with all the groomsmen and the groom staying at the house we had a ton of fun.

We had a great time with family. They're was plenty of room and tons of activities on site. We spent time looking at the moon, hanging out on Lake Worth, watching hawks in the field and spent a day in Ft Worth. Just what we needed!

Amazing Property!

We stayed at the house for a week with my husband , our son and his family…we also had a 20 year old granddaughter and a 16 year old grandson with us. The house and property were amazing. There was so much to do on the immense ’ranch’, that we hardly ever left!! Our grandkids could do just about everything you see in the listing. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Short stay for family wedding in area

Lots to do at this property. House is nice, updated. Beds are comfortable . Showers are great . Host provided all the essential things which was very nice . Hot tub and outdoor TV were great . Host was extremely responsive and informative. Provided a lot of recommendations for things in the area. My only suggestion would be to tidy up a-little on the landscaping and out buildings . However, it did not really affect our stay .

Family Christmas

The location is so good. The accuracy of the on line listing is not all correct. The yard was messy with scrap lumber, leaves in long grass, random solar lights…. The different seating areas outside needed cleaned up. The cushions were dirty by the pickle ball court and the outside porch area. The hot tub was amazing! A bottle of wine was a nice touch. The mattresses on the beds were very soft. The game room was fun. They had a Christmas tree, we were very happy with that! We had a fire in the fireplace on the porch every night but the wood selection could have been better. The TV’s were plentiful and we appreciated that with little ones.

In addition to not liking the selection of tons of free complimentary firewood that they burned up, they also did not like the fact that we did not provide free paper to start the outdoor fireplace (it just makes a mess). But we do provide free fire starters, a starter log, and lighter fluid. So it should be super easy to start a fire. We have had many guests ask us where we got the mattresses, because they were so comfortable. Probably one of the reasons guests keep coming back. Some city folk may not like our Longhorn ranch out in the country, as we don't have perfectly manicured lawns, but we do have a beautiful house, an awesome game room, a nice pickleball court, a cool poker room, a sweet outdoor living area, a great BBQ area, and beautiful Longhorns. As a side note, we thought we were going to have to cancel on this guest, because before they arrived we lost power, had trees down, and tons of rain, with some wind damage. So this contributed to some leaves on the ground.

Great stay!

We had 8 adults ranging from 24-59. The house was clean and the bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful. The living area and kitchen were very nice but a little small for our 8 adults with parents also visiting so 10 of us at times. But we made it work! We utilized the pickleball court and the games in the game room which was great when you have young adults! The owner was wonderful with his communication and recommendations. We had a heck of a Texas storm that knocked out power to the entire area and I emailed him and he called the power company instantly and they were already working on it. We had a full day planned so when we got back mid afternoon everything was working. Our whole family lives or has lived in Texas so that was barely an inconvenience! Overall, the location for us was perfect and I would recommend for other families with varying ages. Lots to do on the property for everyone! We would definitely stay again!

Our family came to the area for an incredibly special event, the finalization of the adoption of our granddaughter, Anaiah. We had prayed and planned for this day for an extraordinary length of time. It is a weekend we will cherish forever. The process was easy. All amenities listed do exist in one form or another. However, the pics & reviews are deceiving as to the overall CONDITION of the property. Five acres, 3 longhorns and a calf does not constitute a working ranch (see Webster or AI) and, that isn't an excuse for unkempt grounds, equpment, dead limbs, tall grass.For cleanliness, we arrived to find blood stains and heavy mildew on shower curtains; dried food (I hope) on blankets; debris between sheets; used grounds in filthy coffee makers; lights and fans that didn't work; electrical outlets without covers - even in wet areas; outdoor furniture molded or covered in dirt, leaves & dead grasshoppers. I could go on, but you get the point.Overwhelmed by the overall conditions of the place, we were numb. We should have requested a refund immediately, and would have if not trying to focus on why we were there - the adoption and quality time with our family instead of where will we stay?Paul is an attentive host, but seems to be blind to these conditions & people are clearly not giving accurate reviews. The potential is there, and we hope there will be positive measures taken to address the problems. We wish them success in all future endeavors.

Apparently there is a magical number of Longhorns we are supposed to have before this guest was going to be happy. We buy and sell them, so the number is always changing. Her complaint about the Longhorns, is as meaningless as her complaints during her stay. Let's review them: Can't turn light on above kitchen sink. It works great when you flip the switch by sink. The ceiling light / fan does not work. It works great if you press the correct button on remote. We can't run the dishwasher, as there is no soap. There was tons of soap under kitchen sink, but we did drop off more, I could go on and on. We have never had a cleanliness complaint at this house, except for when a housekeeper forgot to empty the dishwasher. After housekeeping is done, we have a housekeeping supervisor check and make sure everything is perfect, which is why people always say its so clean. This guest will never be happy, and we hope that they can make someone else's life miserable the next time they come to town.
