Island View Lodging has the best Lake Superior views- 2 suites with private coded entrances, sleeps 4 each, 1 Queen bedroom & 1 sofa sleeper, shower & mini kitchen.
Enjoy peace and quiet at this private sanctuary just 1 mile north of Bayfield on Lake Superior from your private deck or lakefront seating. Boaters and Golfers invited.

The large lawn area slopes down to Lake Superior, where you can laze away in the lawn chairs provided, enjoy the private beach, fish off the bank, launch your kayak from the shore, take a dip in the lake or enjoy a fire in the fire pit in the evening.

The "Sevona" Suite sleeps (4) 1 Queen bedroom and 1 really comfortable Queen sofa sleeper. There is a dining area, mini kitchen with stove, mini refrigerator, sink, dishware, and most essentials for making meals.

There is additional parking on the property for guest vehicles/Kayaks/small boat/trailer. Please notify property owner in advance.
There is also street parking.
Outdoor grilling available by notifying property owner in advance.
Outdoor dining space available.

Bayfield is home to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, including Madeline Island. Cruises leave the Bayfield Marina daily for island touring. Local restaurants and shopping. Kayaking tours, sailing excursions, beaches and water sports available. Biking/hiking trails, fruit farms, and artist community all nearby.

Kitchen not set up for cooking very well. No oven and not much for utensils. No dishwasher, no drying rack, no drying towels or place to hang them. Small double bed, real bad pillows. Owners built two apartments into house. Ours apartment built in attic. Owner on site full time. Window AC. Place was clean.

Doug, we're sorry that the accommodations were not to your liking. We wish you had let us know of your concerns during your 4-night stay. As you noted, we live on the premises, and could have addressed some of them. We just wanted to specifically respond to some inaccuracies: Both the regular bed and sofa sleeper are Queen size. We provide an assortment of 6 pillows from hard to soft to accommodate a variety of preferences. There is a drying rack for dishes under the kitchen sink. Also, the suite is a loft apartment, a design common to the area. As always, reviewing the list of a property's amenities before you book will prevent disappointed expectations about the actual accommodations. Thank you for taking the time to review our property and for tipping our cleaner so generously.

Check in and check out process were great. The hosts were very accommodating and wanted to make sure we had what we needed. The location was great and quiet. The total price for 3 nights was a bit high, but there were not many options at this time of the year.

Perfect spot for a get away

Everything about this stay was great. It is a lovely, well-maintained property very close to Bayfield, yet still low key and private. I was especially impressed with how many kitchen accoutrements were provided. Management was efficient, communicative and responsive. Will definitely return!

Clean. Quiet. Close to town. Nice to go into town and but also nice to come back and relax on the private deck or sit down by the water by the beach. Beautiful area will definitely rent again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this beautiful lakefront property. Morning coffee with lake views, hiking and sailing Superior and just seconds away from downtown Bayfield. The only negative thing about our trip was our length of stay and the next time definitely staying longer!

Great!

We had a lovely trip. Beautiful view of the water from the deck and perfect area to star gaze. It’s only two miles from Bayfield which was a great distance for a morning run into town for coffee. Space was very clean and comfortable. Bed and pull out bed were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!
