Just over a bridge and beyond a small creek awaits a sparkly clean, light and bright walkout basement with private entrance, private patio, living room and bedroom, as well as plenty of boho vibes and houseplants. Newly renovated and freshly designed, this great space is perfect for a night stay or longer work retreat. All the hospitality of a home with so much more space, atmosphere and serenity than a regular hotel. Sightsee in the Colorado Springs area, walk to the nearby trail or sip coffee on the patio while watching for wildlife. A stay here has plenty of great options, whether for a quick night or a longer stay. Plenty of restaurants within less than 5 miles, too! Come visit!

Great little place for good night's rest!

This was just perfect for my Academy Reunion stay! A little treacherous getting there in the dark, but the owner's instructions were right on! Location VERY convenient to all Academy events. Place was cozy and just what I needed. Property was beautiful and I even hiked right from the front door and climbed the hoodoos...highly recommend!! Gorgeous view from up there! One suggestion would be to have a small supply of paper plates/cups/untensils on hand for guest use. There were only a couple and I found myself reusing/not having enough as I was there 4 nights. There is a microwave, so I ate breakfast and dinner a couple times in the room. Thanks for a fun and easy stay!!

Perfect retreat

This VRBO stands out as one of the best we've stayed at. The accommodation is clean, and quaint. It has it's own peaceful vibe. The trains go by, but after the first, you don't even notice them. Actually, as they pass the "click-clack" is soothing. It's hard to believe that this little farm is so convenient to the city. This will be my place to stay when I return to the area.

Nice to be away from crowds, yet close to the Academy

This was a calm place you stay. Fairly convenient location to the academy. There were trains r went by, but with a provided fan or sound machine on, they didn't disturb sleep. They were kind of interesting to watch during the day. The path (new Santa Fe?) That passes by the property was nice for a walk to the academy southern end. As described in the listing, there is a mini-fridge and a microwave. We brought some paper bowls and plates with us. There were a few paper plates & plastic utensils provided. This is Colorado, in a natural surrounding. There were several spiders encountered, but nothing unusual (one in the shower was easily dispatched). The covered patio area is nice, but will not prevent rain getting through the deck above (with rain during our stay, the cushions were wet). The host was friendly and attentive via written communication. We didn't have opportunity to meet in person. We would return to stay here again. Oh, the cement bridge over the creek (driveway to property) was cracked at the time & we were glad to have 8 inches of ground clearance to make it over the transition at the bridge. A low clearance car might have issues, until a repair can be completed. The creek was nice to see, let us know we were in the foothills of the Rockies.

This is a unique property on a small farm. There is no kitchen, but there is a fridge, microwave, and coffee make. It is a quiet and comfortable place to stay off the beaten path but minutes from everything.

There's something about being in the country that's good for the soul, and I think you just might find it as wonderful as I do! My family and I have been hosting our Country Cottage 'Cross the Creek here for five years, and now our new Boho Basement is one more way we've embraced the lifestyle, relationship and business of hospitality. We love it here at our farm, we're excited about our beautiful basement listing, and we welcome you to come stay!

Close to the Air Force Academy, this property is located just a mile past multiple hotels off the interstate - - - and the extra mile is worth it for the unique experienced you'll have on our farm. While we're just off the interstate, you'll feel like you've come to the country once you've crossed our bridge, come up our long country driveway and arrived at our home. Our little property has so many elements of wild, beautiful Colorado - - - with soaring trees, a bubbling creek, random wildlife visitors, beautiful birds, a rambling train and plenty of peace and serenity. There's really not another place like this in our county, and we invite you to come see why!

Our Boho Basement has a private patio where you can sit and enjoy the Colorado sunshine or watch for deer. Or, if you need to stretch your legs, our property has immediate access to a regional trail that leads to downtown Colorado Springs in one direction and through the Air Force Academy in the other direction. So you can rest - - - or go for a run! Either which way, the nature of our property is refreshing, whether you're listening to the owl, watching a herd of deer or catch site of our beaver busy at work!
