Great vrbo!

We loved this place! It was just as described and perfect for the nine of us. Hosts were very nice and made sure to give us recommendations for food places near by and keeping up with us throughout the stay. Will definitely book again!

Family Vacation

The space was clean and great for our group of 11 (9 adults, a toddler, and an infant). They provided a lot of helpful information about the amenities offered and things to do in the area with their digital guidebook and the information available at the house once we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped for staying in and cooking, and we liked that the cabinets and drawers were labeled. It made it very easy to find things! The amenities offered were great; our toddler especially loved going to the pools! The hosts were quick to respond to any questions I had before and during our stay. Overall, a great experience for our family vacation!

We rented this as the 'guest house' for a larger group. If it was a little bigger, we would have utilized this as our base camp - very nice home. Very comfortable. Great parking for a large group. Would definitely stay here again.

My family had a great time and enjoyed staying within the WLE community. The house was clean and ready for the 4pm check in. We had enough room for my multi generational family, including cars. The community is easy to navigate and everyone is super friendly. Great place to relax, disconnect and enjoy lake life.

My friends and I wanted a home that would allow us to have guest over for a Birthday dinner party. We were plesantly surprised by this listing. It had the perfect amount of rooms and the home looked beautiful in the pictures. The homeowners answered all my questions in a timely manner. When we arrived the home was beautiful. It was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed using the BBQ grill as well as their firepit. We had a few issues which the homeowner said they'd take care of. Overall a great weekend celebration. I highly recommend this listing.

Top-Notch Stay

I spent most of my life in the Poconos but never stayed in a short-term rental there. My family and I were blown away by Nathan and Kara's home. From the interior design to the ease of having a fully equipped kitchen, to all of the little details throughout the house (consistent labeling, wifi password, and even fun facts!), they exceeded our expectations. We really couldn't have picked a better vacation home. You can tell they go above and beyond with all of the little touches they sprinkle throughout the house. The hosts were extremely communicative before, during, and even after the stay. I highly recommend them, and I hope to be back soon!!

Good family vacation

We had a good time. The layout of the house was good for multiple families. Living space on each floor. Being on the busy road was the only issue. It made it hard for the kids to go ride bikes in the neighborhood wothout navigating the busy road first to get into the rest of the community.

Wonderful visit

Great property for our two families (with 7 under the age of 8); the listing and property is very well organized and the communication is excellent. The neighborhood has great amenities. We were a bit early in the season so couldn't take advantage of everything; the only item to be aware of is that the road outside of the house is faster than I would expect - no issue at all for older kids but need to keep an eye on the little ones. Great visit, and we would certainly come again! Thank you again, Nathan!

Beautiful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The contact with property manager/owner via VRBO was a tad delayed, sometimes I had to ask my question twice to receive an answer, and there was some confusion about the pin code to enter the home at first but that was settled after I spoke to a VRBO rep. The home itself was perfect, clean and beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring family and friends here again. Thank you!!

Great experience!

We knew from photos that this home would fit our needs, and the pictures were very accurate! We enjoyed the open kitchen/dining/living space, only the weather kept us from using the deck & fire pit. And the split level layout provided total privacy with our bedroom/baths on separate floors. The only hiccup was that not all of the tabletop appliances on the posted list were on site, and though the communication with Vrbo & the owner was terrific, and a home repair was performed immediately, those items couldn't be provided during our short stay. We are already discussing booking again for next November!

Family Weekend Getaway.

Overall the trip was great! Home was very clean and spacious which worked well for the adults and the kids having their own separate living space. The only issue we had with the home was the heating of the lower level it was very cold especially it being the space where the children were. I would recommend having a space heater to help with the issue. Communication with the owners was very easy via phone and VRBO contact. Other than the heating issue the families enjoyed gathering together and we’d definitely stay again. Thank you again for hosting my family in your home!

My family and I rented this property for my husband's bday. Due to the fact that none of the amenities shown in the listing were available, we were confined to the house. They was nothing to do besides board games which we could have did at home. This was just a pointless stay. On top of it all the lady at the community desk informed us that the owner should have gotten a notification that the pool was being repaired. The game room also wasn't available. Therefore these amenities should not be falsely listed. I can say the house was spotless and the owners were nice. Its just pointless staying when you can stay home and do nothing.

Nice setup for a group gathering

This house had a great overall floor plan for our group - 3 couples getting together for a weekend reunion. The outside of the house was nothing to look at but the inside was quite nice with an open kitchen/family room for easy visiting and plenty of seating.. it wasn’t quite as “pristine” in terms of cleanliness as I would expect given the expense added on for cleaning but it was fine. Everything was in good working order, kitchen was well-supplied and sleeping accommodations were quite comfortable. It would have been nice to have a slightly larger supply of paper goods - there were no paper towels, paper napkins and just the bare minimum of TP in the bathrooms. If we were staying a week I would certainly expect to buy those things but for just a weekend, I feel they should be on hand. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, the neighborhood was quite friendly, we saw numerous deer in the yard and around the area and although on a somewhat busy street, the house was quiet and private. Thank you.!

Absolutly Perfect!!

Nathan and Kara's home was absolutely amazing and made our stay such a relaxing and fun get-away!! We appreciated the overall cleanliness, intentional orderliness, updated styling throughout, thoughtful touches galore and smooth, comfortable, timely and friendly communication. This home offers an incredible space for large/extended families or groups. There is an upper level great room with large TV, fireplace, lots of seating in plain view of the kitchen and sliding glass door extending to the outdoor wood deck. The lush scenery is abundantly visible through the oversized open paned windows. A second TV room is located on the lower level that is highlighted with a wall of natural cedar siding. Really so beautiful!! There are also three wonderful bathrooms and a full sized stackable washer and dryer. The whole place is laid out so very thoughtfully, making your time away from home so easy and stress free. Multiple uses of natural wood abounds in their cathedral entrance foyer including creative wall art of thin log slices. You just have to see it to believe it! It's incredible!! All the personal touches extended to us by Nathan and Kara were so appreciated and made us feel so welcomed, especially their ribbon-tied Welcome gift of supplies to make our own smores at the back yard inviting firepit, highlighted with café lights strung around the trees. Everything within the home is labeled and identified so nicely and clearly including their generously equipped kitchen.

Married with a beautiful little girl & one year-old son, Nathan has lived here in PA his whole life. We love VRBO which means you’ll get high service and quality, local recommendations. Feel free to book or message us first, we're happy to answer any specific questions in advance.

By day, Nathan runs a design-build remodeling company while Kara enjoys home-schooling our two kiddos. By night, we are often spending time with a small group of friends from our church. We are well-traveled VRBO guests. We know what a host should do to create a comfortable guest experience.

We loved the idea of owning a home in such a family-friendly community that has a great location to Lake Wallenpaupack while also offering such a wide variety of amenities. We have grown to love the small community of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates (WLE)as they are very family focused and often offer great activities for kids of all sizes.

We were able to purchase two homes next to each-other within the same community giving us the opportunity to rent both homes to large groups. This has been a great option for larger groups.

Unlike some of the other communities in the area, WLE offers an indoor swimming pool along with their 2 large outdoor pools. The pools along with all of the other activities within the community are wonderful to keep the whole family busy year-round. The fact that the amenities are included free of charge within our community instead of charging extra was a big benefit. All this while being so close to Lake Wallenpaupack was the reason we chose this location! :)
