The Yellow Cottage in the Woods is centrally located to down town and local universities in a quiet neighborhood just off the intersection of State Park Road & N.Pleasantburg Drive. We invite you to walk about our spacious 1 acre property in Greenville County which is surrounded with many mature trees and flowering plants and shrubs giving the feeling of country living although you are in a residential neighborhood. This space is well lit as described in the access entry note with solar lighting, dust to dawn lighting, and motion sensor lighting. The Grill Patio and Hot Tub Deck can be further brightened at night with the string of extra night lights by plugging them in the house wall outlet by the navy door & at the electrical outlets on the gray post on the Hot Tub Deck. We are happy to provide for you these extra special amenities featured under our covered decks namely our HOT TUB DECK and FRONT PORCH DECK with its swing and seating. We like to say at the Yellow Cottage in the Woods, "RAIN or SHINE the FRONT PORCH & HOT TUB are FINE ALL the TIME!" One need NEVER to be barred from great outdoor adventures because of rain in Greenville when staying at our Yellow Cottage in the Woods. I observed this summer, shortly after a rainstorm, while sitting in the front porch swing, an falcon perch on the iron gate in the front yard watching, waiting, and then suddenly swooping down with precise timing on its prey, an afternoon snack from our yard. Nature awaits your observation and adventures from these great spaces. Covered or not outdoor amenities can be brightened with extra lighting. Please help us by remembering to tun the light/s off at night as specified above after use. (And if you should forget... Just remember in the morning to tun them off! DUKE POWER & WE THANK YOU!)
