The Space:

Set amongst tall pines in the desirable White Mountain Estates neighborhood of Ruidoso, New Mexico, this grand home offers beautiful natural landscapes, terrific amenities and an amazingly convenient location, just minutes from Midtown, Ruidoso Downs, and Winter Park!
Easy access with multiple options for parking and unloading. The main circle drive is paved around the back of the property to the main entrance. Additional gravel parking in front. From the back side of the home, there are 8 steps up to enter on the second level. You'll also see steps that lead down to the first level and a paved walkway to the private hot tub on the north side. Access to these doors is from the inside.
As you enter the home, you're immediately greeted by soaring ceilings, windows with views of the treetops and cobalt blue skies, and massive log beams! Open concept design features a large living space with comfortable leather seating, gas fireplace, dining area.
The kitchen has a pantry and all new appliances including stainless steel French-door refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and gas range w/ oven. There's a Keurig Duo coffee maker for K-cups or drip coffee and the owner's have stocked it with just about every small appliance and gadget you'll need to prepare meals, just bring the groceries! To the left of the kitchen is a convenient powder bath and laundry room with full size washer & dryer. Just off the kitchen, step out onto the huge front porch set w/ dining table and a new Blackstone Grill! 21 steps lead down to the front parking area
To the left of the living area you'll find the Primary Suite w/ luxurious private bath accented w/ log beams and lots of windows with tree views. The bedroom has a comfy king size bed with crispy fresh linens, lots of closet space, ceiling fan and TV. The large bathroom has dual sinks w/ lots of counter space, linen closet, private toilet, walk-in shower. After a long day on the slopes, shopping or hiking, soak those tired muscles in the deep jetted tub w/ a glass of wine.
14 steps lead up from the main level to a huge loft with peaked windows, plush carpeting and feature a bedroom with queen bed, TV and closet space. Please note: the ceiling slopes in the bedroom w/ plenty of space for anyone to walk around. The loft is complete with a full bathroom with shower/tub combo and cozy sitting with a laptop friendly charging table. There's also a dedicated workspace with a large desk. When you need a break, take your coffee out to the private balcony.
From the main level, 16 steps lead down to the awesome game room! There's a bistro table and large comfy leather seating around the big screen TV ready for movie night or gathering around to watch the big game! Challenge family and friends to a game of pool or darts! French doors lead out to a huge covered front porch.
A connecting hallway off the game room leads to convenient butler pantry with sink, drip coffee maker, beverage cooler, and tons of storage for snacks! You'll also find a full bath with shower/tub combo that services to additional bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and armoire for storage. The second bedroom has a king bed, TV and closet. Both feature all new bedding and ceiling fans.
2 exterior doors access the back outside walkway that leads to the new hot tub! There's a nice privacy fence and area to hang towels.
Crazy Horse Lodge is equipped with central heat & A/C for your comfort and controlled by Nest thermostat located by the laundry room. A cozy gas fireplace is in the main living room operated by thermostat on the right side of the hearth. Free WiFi & all TVs are Smart TVs w/ TDS cable service. Guests can stream their favorite shows on Netflix, Hulu, and more! NO SMOKING & NO PETS

Guest Access:
SELF CHECK IN: Access codes for the remote lock are EMAILED to the reservation holder w/in 48 hours of arrival. Be sure to complete your guest check in form after booking and provide your email address and contact phone.

DIRECTIONS AND CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS: For the privacy of any staying guest, physical addresses are not provided until booking and confirmation is complete.

DIGITAL GUESTBOOK: Directions, check in instructions, and everything you'll need to know are provided in the digital guestbook! The link is sent via email after booking and completing your check in form. We'll also send via SMS text message prior to arrival.

ACCESSING THE HOUSE: There are 2 circle driveways to the house with a slight incline. You'll need to use the back circle driveway to access the house. The main entry door is up the steps on the second level. All other exterior doors can only be unlocked from the inside of the house.. Guests have full access of the home except for any locked doors or cabinets which are for owner's access only.

The Neighborhood:
Nestled in Ruidoso's must desired White Mountain Estates neighborhood, Crazy Horse Lodge offers the very best in mountain lodging for you and your family. Perched above the roadway, this stately custom log home has an impressive drive up appeal, surrounding by ponderosa pines on a huge lot. Amazingly, you're only 7 minutes from Ruidoso's bustling Midtown and 9 minutes from Grindstone Lake. It's just 3.5 miles to Ski Run Rd, the turn off to Ski Apache. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, perfect for listening to the mountain breeze in the tall pines and star gazing at night.

Ruidoso is a picturesque alpine village nestled in the the Lincoln National Forest of Lincoln County, boasting some of the greatest areas for outdoor adventure with over 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, 3 area lakes, championship golf, and more. A day trip can be filled with amazing natural wonders at White Sands National Monument, and Valley of Fire State Park. History buffs will enjoy a short drive to Fort Stanton and even Old Lincoln, the city were Billy the Kid made his famous escape! Head to Ruidoso Downs and watch the quarter horse races live! In the winter months hit the slopes at Ski Apache. Packed with fun and adventure, Heaven's Peak provides the perfect vacation home to create lasting memories.

Getting Around:
Driving access is generally easy. There are 2 circle driveways in the front and around to the back of the house where the main entrance is located. They have an incline up to the house that is easy for any vehicle to manage.
All roads are easy to moderate in this neighborhood and paved. Some areas around Ruidoso and Alto are hilly to mountainous but generally easy to get around year round. During winter months, guests are encouraged to have access to 4-wheel drive and/or snow chains in the event of a major winter weather event. For extended stays, travel insurance is always recommended.
