Enjoy everything Lake Norman has to offer in our six bedroom house on a quite cove just off the main channel. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water, or while watching the 72 inch smart tv. Take one of the kayaks out and explore Lake Norman, but don't forget your life jacket! At the end of the cove, there is another large cove to the right and is all a no wake zone for peace of mind. Boat rentals are also available at several marinas nearby.

Family reunion

Horrible condition. Black mold on ceiling tiles in lower area. Dirty sheets upstairs. Blackstone grill unusable, rusty, dirty, flaky rust. Two empty gas tanks. Amenities listed a hot tub, but owner said never had one. We made best of stay but terrible condition of property.

Very Spacious for large family gathering!!

Very accurate to description online, Excellent choice for a large family with space to everyone to enjoy , accommodating for ALL age groups, The host (Chad) was great with communication and checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable! Would definitely recommend this place! Didn’t get to enjoy much of the outside space due to the weather but enjoyed the family time , large kitchen ( 2 kitchens) . If you are looking for a rental in this area this is the place to be! Would definitely rent this property again!!

The house was exactly as advertised. It was very clean, and the amenities were great. Chad, the owner, was great to work with. He actually contacted me on Saturday to see if there was anything that we needed. I would highly recommend this property for larger groups.

Great place for a family stay

Wonderful location and plenty of room for a family stay. Quiet cove with a nice little beach for the kids. Great game room. Nice big kitchen and a great flattop grill. We did almost all meals at the property because it was such a great setup. Only issue was the internet modem had to be rebooted several times. Overall a great property and owner was quick to respond to any questions. We’d stay here again for sure!

Wonderful despite an unexpected power outage

There may have been an unexpected power outage at no fault of the property owner, but we still had a great time. Chad, the owner was such a fast responder and was on top of the power company to get the power back on quickly! The house was in great condition and we look forward to staying at this property again. Loved the fact that we could bring our 2 dogs with us for Christmas.

The Lake

It was a great trip. It said 7 bedrooms. Ultimately ended up being 5 with a room connected to make it 6 that has a futon( to be honest it said that after reading more info). The initial reading said 7 bedrooms. Turned out to be fine there just isn’t a door to separate the rooms and some may need more privacy. Location and space was great. The family had a great experience. Host contacted me directly because I didn’t even know how to us the pass to get in the house. I cleaned up so maybe Chad will will forgive me! It’s a beach house on the lake, perfect.

House for groomsmen

We rented this house for my son’s groomsmen and their wives. The house was absolutely perfect! Beautiful! As pictured. Clean. Perfect size for 14. Offered tons of activities for these life long buddies to do together. Chad was a super communicator! Really appreciate him checking on us multiple times during our stay! And LOVE how this property gives back to the community; supporting veterans, local food banks, and the humane society. Great choice! Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend!

Book this house before someone else does!

This is a very beautiful property (Pictures do no justice!) with lots of activities and my bridesmaids, family, and I had a blast! The table games, arcade games, fuse ball, pop-a-shot basketball, and outdoor accessories were nice to have for our large group. We relaxed on the beach around the firepit, swam, fished (my father caught 5 fish from the dock). We had fun on the kayaks and enjoyed brunch on the deck each morning and hanging out on the beach in the evenings. Kids loved swimming off the dock at all hours, it's nice being in a quiet cove with no wake. Having 2 kitchens made preparations easy. The host was reachable at all times and very friendly and informative. Overall great time with family and friends. Would definitely love to stay again some time.

Miami-chic lake house with excellent game room, beach with kayaks, a hit with adults and kids

We had a lovely stay at this modern, Miami-chic lake house. The kitchen and living room of the house were clean, spacious and well-appointed, comfortable for our family of 6 to gather. There was a comfortable teenager suite (bathroom, bedroom, tv room) upstairs, 3 comfortable bedrooms on the main floor, and 2 bedrooms downstairs in the finished basement space and a game room and basement living room. Amenities included multiple large screen tvs with all the Roku apps we needed, wifi, use of 2 laundry facilities and blow dryers in the bathrooms. The property had a large deck overlooking a quiet cove, several kayaks, all the life vests we needed, a sandy beach with lounge chairs for sunbathing and kids picnic table with umbrella, dock for fishing and swimming. There are plenty of parks with swimming beaches and playgrounds close by for the kids. The basement game room and beach were a hit with kids and adults. We were close to a grocery store too. Absolutely amazing stay. Chad was super easy to connect with and helped me out big time with an early check-in. Everything was exactly as described. My big family had plenty of space to unwind and relax. This beautiful and spacious home was the perfect spot for our family retreat. We would have no hesitation booking this home again in the future.

Worst rental property at Lake Norman

I have been doing a family lake trip for 4 years and this was the worst experience for me and my family. We decided a family trip to lake Norman on July 4th weekend. Had family flew in from Toronto, Edmonton, DC and Ohio. Dirtiest house, roaches everywhere, leftovers food and rotten fruits on the basement carpet, bedsheets had sand and hair. Reached out to owner after walking in and owner said he will send cleaners to fix our issues. We waited for cleaner for couple hours and decided to call VRBO to expedite this issue. Reached out to VRBO customer service so they can help in arranging cleaners or book a different house for us. Their response was to reach out to owner and get update. They also couldn’t find any other house in area to accommodate my family. We traveled from all over Nort America and going back wasn’t a option. We took it upon us to clean the house with hope that owner will reach out and offer some compensation for this mess. Reached out to owner multiple and we only received automated messages. I hope owner takes action in fixing this property so no one has to experience vacation like we did. Still waiting for VRBO and Owner for some response.

A lot to like, with a few serious issues

The house was clean, no evidence of some of the cleaning issues mentioned in earlier reviews. The furnishings were sturdy and comfortable if a bit sparse. There were several very nice touches like well labeled light switches and plentiful night lights. Concerns included: (1) A listing claiming seven bedrooms when one of the bedrooms is really just a passageway with a futon, and no bedding provided for that futon. Further, one of the other beds had no bottom sheet on it. When contacted to request bedding and the missing sheet the host said he didn't know if he could get them to us that evening. We found an extra cover and scrounged pillows from other rooms, but needed sheets. I offered to go to the local Walmart and buy inexpensive sheets and he offered to pay for them. I did my part, and provided my information for ven mo, and as of right now he has not yet transferred any money for a payment that was requested and promised 3 days ago. (2) The stove in the upstairs kitchen is a gas range, and the automatic igniters were not working. Moreover, the gas in this area is apparently unscented. There were matches provided in a nearby drawer, so we made it work, but that whole situation did not feel very safe. (3) The host was quickly responsive to a few of our communications, but unresponsive to most despite repeated reiterations.

Christmas on the lake

This is our 2nd year staying here for Christmas and we love it. We have a huge family and none of our houses can hold all of us, so we rent a place to stay together. The games keep the kids entertained for days! The office space houses the gifts until Christmas Eve when they are all sat out in individual piles for each person. The living room is large enough for each person to sit around and see as we make the kids open their presents 1 person at a time (youngest to oldest, so the big kids get antsy, but all the parents and grandparents can see everyone's reactions without missing anything). We had enough room to bring in a small popcorn machine and ice machine to set up for the kids to use in the kitchen. Just all around fun here. And Chad is super responsive and very helpful! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home again this year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
