The two bedrooms makes this location easy to share with family or friends - or even just to enjoy a romantic getaway with your loved one. The full kitchen with a farmhouse sink offers guest space to make both delicious meals and lifelong memories. Enjoy the natural wood touches that make this property special and unique.

‱ Bike rentals are available in the village, though biking in the commercial area of the village is discouraged, as the flow of people and cars can be concentrated. The terrain has many hills, and a mountain bike should be used to traverse such rugged areas.

- All guests staying at an Quechee Lakes Rentals by Portoro (Portoro Homes) are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Quechee Lakes Rentals by Portoro directly.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- In the State of Vermont and in Windsor County, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction.
- There is no guard around the pools. - Use at your own risk.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.

- Animals/Pets -- Dogs Only, Guidelines and Fee*
Animals/pets must be disclosed prior to reservation arrival date. Only dogs are permitted in “Pet-Friendly” Property listings. Allowed number of dogs will be expressly stated in the listing and a $150.00 fee per animal/pet is required. Animals/pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises unless prior approval is obtained. Any unauthorized animals/pets at the property will result in a $150.00 per day / per animal/pet fee, and may result in your reservation being canceled, and you may be required to vacate from the Property.

Our goal is that your vacation exceed your expectations. Quechee Lakes Rentals by Portoro communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 14 days (or less) prior to arrival date. We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check in. We do typically check in with guests by text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions. We are available to guests 24/7 for any inquiries.

It was wonderful! Our recommendation would be to have oven mitts (I needed to use a hand towel from the bathroom) and a teapot (we used just a regular pot). Otherwise, it was amazing!! Quechee weekend

Amazing Vermont views in renovated farmhouse

Great set up and lovely views from the front and back of this property. Clean and very well done barn renovation. Lots of space and loved to sit out on front porch. Our dog loved the wide open space to run and it was a short drive to everything the area has to offer.

Eclipse weekend

My husband and I plus our 3 yr old dog Rags spent a wonderful couple of days at the Carriage House. The location was perfect within easy reach of Woodstock and the house was beautifully decorated, warm comfortable and spacious. The owners left us a pair of eclipse glasses which was such a thoughtful touch. We hope to visit again soon!

Quaint Perfect Spot

We thought the property was really great but there could be a few tweaks to make it perfect. First off it felt like we were dealing with an AI with the texting feature for the property manager. I am used to dealing with host/owner directly and with this type of property I feel that would of been better. Also I had asked a few questions and the answers were not helpful. The other big issue was the mud. If I did not have an SUV we would of been stuck- in fact I did get stuck and it was really frustrating. Although the property is nicely restored, we experienced a myriad of problems during our stay. First, we were staying at the property as part of a two-week trip to the northeast, so we chose it over others because it listed “laundry” as one of the amenities. Little did we know that their idea of having a laundry amenity was the local laundromat in town. There also was no ironing board on the property, just an iron in a box in one corner of the bathroom. Next, we thoroughly read the owner’s handbook where it showed how to use the split a/c unit and change from a/c to heat. When we got there the remote controls for both units had “do not change modes” written on them. It turns out that the only heat available was a gas fireplace located in the living room and far from the bathrooms where you shower. The temps got down to 35 and the inside was chilly, as you might imagine. The manual also described where to take out the trash, but there was not a trash can in sight. There were numerous other small issues, but the last thing to mention was the only closet in the entire place was a small coat closet by the front door with 2 hangers. Neither bedroom had a place to hang anything up. The property management firm had a number where someone answered 24/7, but it wasn’t a local person and they had to call someone local. But even they didn’t know how to get heat or dispose of trash. It’s a shame—this property has so much potential but major issues.
