Falls Lake Cottage@Rolling View with saltwater hot tub, fire pit & screen porch

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. With 1768 sq' of open indoor space and 610 sq' of covered outdoor space on 1.69 acres there's room to be together or spread out. Surrounded by nature nestled in the trees and only 1/10 of a mile from the Rolling View Rec Area gates. Bring your boat, bring your bikes, bring your fishing pole and don't forget your swim suit! Hiking trails are a plenty with the "Sea to Mountain Trail" running directly behind the property and lots of other trails at Rolling View. Rent boats, paddle boards and canoes at Rolling View Marina. When the day is done come back and relax in the saltwater hot tub or hang out on the best screened porch ever!

The cottage has an open floor plan. Where the kitchen can see the living area and the dining area and living and dining areas can see the kitchen, but not a direct view from the dining to the living area. So...open but separate.

The kitchen has a huge island where folks can gather around and still be out of the kitchen action. It is fully equipped to make a gourmet meal with enough counter space for the Chef, the Sous Chef and the Bartender.

The game room is a multifunctional area. It can serve as a quiet area to curl up and read or watch a movie. It can be high action with one of the many games available. It can also be a place to set up your computer on the desk and get some work done.

Each bedroom boasts a high quality premium mattress. Hotel quality sheets, various pillows and layers of covers to snuggle up in. Reading lamps, charging cubes and sound machine are all close by on the bedside table. With room darkening curtains and overhead fan, there is nothing to get in the way of a good nights sleep. Empty closets (except for your robes) with plenty of hangers and empty dressers, so you will have lots of room to store your clothes and belongings.

Each bathroom has 4 sets of large luxurious towels. Soaps, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer are all available. You will also find plenty of toilet paper and extra toiletries.

Last but not least the screened porch. A 450 sq' outdoor living room with the most comfortable chair swings, a twin size swinging bed and multiple other seating choices. The locally made table and benches comfortably seat 6. A 64" ceiling fan and recessed lighting only add to the experience. Grab your cup of coffee, sit in the chair swing and watch the sun rise. I promise you will leave with a bad case of porch envy...lol

This is a rural area. So drive slowly the chickens may be crossing the road. There is lots of wildlife and woods to see and explore. Folks out here are quiet and friendly, but pretty much keep to themselves. Nights are full of stars, sounds of crickets and the occasional owl. Rob and I are building our forever home next-door 450 ft. away. It will be completed in the summer of 2023. That’s how much we love it out here. You will need a car and the grocery store is 5 miles away. Downtown Durham is 11 miles away. Downtown Raleigh is 16.1 miles away.
RDU airport is 14 miles away. ZincHouse Winery & Brewery is 4 miles away. This place absolutely embodies the feeling of relaxation and the natural surroundings that you will also find at our Falls Lake Cottage.
