This unique and private 4 bedroom/3 bath residential home boasts all modern decor, updated kitchen and baths, and a huge outside dining area and yard. Super quiet location that is close to amazing restaurants, wineries, shopping, museums, quaint coffee and ice cream shops and boutiques, bike trails and parks, aquatic centers, airport, and historic districts. All new and comfortable mattresses and bedding await to provide you with the BEST night of sleep!

The Emerald Oak is located in the suburbs of St. Louis in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. The home is right off of highway 364 and close to interstates 70/64/40. We are located on a cul de sac, so you will enjoy no through traffic, free parking, and a safe environment for littles if they accompany you. We have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, a huge backyard and deck and patio. A very descriptive layout of the rooms and sleeping arrangements with specific photos are listed as well.

We have free parking on the property of course. No street parking has fees of any kind.

The place was very nice and had great information for staying there. Local restaurant information was provided. The only issue was the dog door down stairs did not have any cover over it and it was extremely dangerous for our 1 year old who could fit through the door.

Overall nice

The property itself was as described. There were a few repairs needed in the upstairs bathroom but it looked liked they were maybe in the works. It was clean, the property manager was very responsive which we truly appreciate. If I’m ever in the area again I would consider staying here.

This place was AMAZING! The backyard is great! The boys were able to air out their gear. We would stay here again. The loft area was a great area for the boys to sleep. The kitchen is cute, quaint, and well equipped. If you are looking at this place, you should stay here!

Beautiful Home, Unfortunate Circumstance

The home itself is beautiful, with a large backyard and a great location on a quiet cul-de-sac. It offered plenty of space for our group, and we appreciated the peaceful setting during our stay. Unfortunately, our stay at this property was overshadowed by a major issue with the refrigerator that made our trip significantly more stressful and inconvenient than it should have been. My friends and I were in town for a 4-day convention in which we would be spending the majority of our days at the convention center. We specifically rented a house with a refrigerator in order to prepare and store food to both maximize our time at the convention and save money eating out. Due to the refrigerator failing, we ended up losing perishable food and having to completely change our plans/budget. I do understand that things happen, but the host acknowledged that the refrigerator was making a terrible noise 6 weeks prior to our stay. We feel that the host failed to take necessary steps to ensure that the refrigerator was in working order prior to our arrival. Furthermore, while the host was responsive to messages, I did feel that she was a bit dismissive of the problem and several of her messages came across as rude/condescending. The solution that was offered was to bring us "a ton of ice" to place inside the broken refrigerator to act as a cooler — an impractical and ineffective solution, especially given that the perishable food had already spoiled by the time the issue became obvious.

Good neighborhood, easy access to major highways, lots of beds/space for the kids.There were a couple of annoyances: AC units in every room, which I didn’t recall seeing in the description. They were a louder than we are used to and were disruptive to our sleep. Didn’t notice the skylights (with no shade) in the one bedroom from the photos. There were also a number of flies in the kitchen window and patio sliding door the whole weekend.

Fabulous cozy home away from home

Gina was a an amazing host. We were traveling with multiple family units and the house fit everyone comfortably. We had 4 under 3 and the property had a pack n play, highchair/booster seat, toys and art room. High recommend if traveling with kids just be ready for chasing kids upstairs.

Pretty home, but with some issues

Our stay was a mixed bag. The home was tastefully decorated. It had lots of natural light. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were ideally suited to our family composition, with two young children and a teenager. Overall, our stay was comfortable. I would caution, however, that I don't recommend this property for people with chemical sensitivities. There were plug-in style air fresheners in each room of the house. The smell was quite overpowering even days after they had been unplugged. We also suspect an issue with rodents. There were traps on the floor and we found holes gnawed into bags of bread and corn chips. It would have been nice to know this was an issue ahead of our stay. Lastly, the basketball hoop was down on the ground and had to be lifted upright. My husband noticed the base was wobbly and it seemed like it could tip forward and potentially fall onto a child.

House as described

I had my bachelorette party in the area so we had a group of 11 that stayed here. The house was very cute and there was plenty of room for all of us. There were mouse traps in the kitchen and the mice did get into our snacks over night that were on the counter tops and sealed/closed and we had to throw out a decent amount because of that and were quite grossed out by that happening. If there weren’t mice, my rating would be higher. Hosts were nice to work with.

Nice property

It was a nice house that worked well for our family. Would recommend getting the mice under control as we had it in our food over night that was on the counter. Other recommendations is the shower in main bath did not have much pressure unless water was all the way hot or if someone was using other shower in main bath. Other than that the house was what was described and owners were prompt in relies.

Our homes have gotten so much attention on how well they are remodeled and designed that it organically grew into us becoming local home designers and decorators. We do custom kitchens and baths as well as flip homes and own several short term rental properties. As you can imagine, we also do consulting as we get asked quite a lot for guidance in this market. YES, we are busyyy!

We have 2 smart and energetic kiddos, Liam age 9 and Willow age 4! They are each other’s best friends and worst enemies and pester each other every chance they get. So when we are not running our businesses, you can find us breaking up fights between those two!

Over the years we have really been able to offer a place for so many different and unique people and their stories. This is by far my favorite part of hosting. We got to reunite a father and his son after 20 years of being apart. We were allowed the humbling experience to give a family a soft place to land after losing 4 children and their mother in a house fire. We have hosted so many celebrations and fun times for girls weekends, mother/daughter trips, couples getaways, and staycations. It is more than just hosting for us, it is hospitality and a chance to make this world a more positive place for all of us!

This home is so peaceful. The neighborhood, the backyard full of so much variety of flowers and foliage, the soothing colors and decor of the inside, all give a restful experience. It has so much natural light that fills the home. You can sit out on the back deck at night and stargaze. The area is very safe. O’Fallon was recognized time and time over for being one of the safest cities in the US. The home also sits on a cul de sac (circle/dead end) so little or no through traffic is noticed. It is large enough to feel space but small enough to be cozy. Speaking of cozy we have cozy amenities such as coffee, extra fuzzy blankets, and a fire pit. Extra amenities include some workout gear, smart TVs, office space, books and games, art supplies and some toys.
