Welcome to comfort and relaxation! Exquisite rural setting in the river valley of the St Croix. Cozy up in this brand new barn apartment on our home property that is close to beautiful parks and trails and many attractions and also a half hour from the Twin Cities.
The space:
Designed with modern and well equipped spaces in mind, the entire second floor of the barn space is for our guests use including a full laundry room and fully equipped kitchen.
The Loft at Strawberry Hill provides its guests fresh towels, linens, and many other necessities such as dish soap, dishwasher/laundry tabs, shampoo etc.

Other things to note:
Balconies on both ends to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Many trails for walking. Afton Alps resort and Afton State Park close by. Private fire pit on premises for our guests outdoor use. Great restaurants in quaint downtown Hudson 8 min. away and historic Stillwater only15 min. away.

We can sleep 6 comfortably or more depending on if the queen beds are shared. For sleeping accommodations we have the main "owners" bedroom with a queen bed, the secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds. In the living room, the sofa has a pull-out queen mattress made of quality memory foam and bedding. In addition to or if preferred, we also have a Queen size double high air mattress with built in pump and also a twin double high mattress with built in pump and all bedding. (Extra charge of $15 per night for more than 4 guests.)

Close enough drive to anything you’d need but still feels quaint and private. Owners were communicative and inviting. Everything was clean and homey. Perfect for a good weekend getaway

Country stay

Cozy and peaceful place to stay. Everything was well stocked from towels, kitchen to firewood. Very clean and host quick to respond. If you love country feel this is the place to stay. Still close to Stillwater and twin cities. We will be back next time in town.

My wife and I stayed at Strawberry Farms with our daughter and her husband, and our teenage daughter. As we pulled onto the property, we were immediately impressed. Carrying our luggage into the apartment in the upper level of the barn, we were even more stunned. The interior of this two bedroom VRBO was a beautiful modern farmhouse appeal, with zero clutter. The balcony overlooked the owners horse pasture which was very well kept. The miniature horse provided entertainment as we watched it graze in the yard. And the espresso machine made my wife and daughter extremely happy.Not to mention, this property is close to downtown Hudson and Stillwater, making it a perfect place to stay for a romantic retreat or family getaway.Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place.

Girls Weekend

Myself and a friend wanted a cozy place to have a girls weekend. This place was gorgeous and exactly what we needed. We were able to go into Hudson for dinner and also stay in the second night and just relax. The loft is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities you could want. Will definitely be back!!

Perfect weekend in St.Croix River Valley!

Such a charming guest house! So comfortable and beautifully situated in a quiet street tucked behind the owners home, yet very quiet and private. Plus, the property has horses, outdoor fireplace and is overall just an idyllic scene.

Wonderful retreat!

The property was easy to find and the setting is lovely. The Loft was perfectly furnished and decorated to be very comfortable. We had 4 women for a milestone birthday weekend and enjoyed just hanging out. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again.

An amazing property! The loft was thoughtfully renovated- beautiful and functional! We appreciated all of the small gestures that made traveling with little ones easier (sound machines, pack and play, toddler mattress, etc). An absolutely wonderful host family that we would highly recommend. Our children loved greeting Tootsie, the miniature horse everyday!

Beautiful girls weekend

This property was absolutely INCREDIBLE! My girlfriends & I were so impressed by the loft. It was so cozy & perfect size for a group of 4. We were close to Stillwater & Hudson. The area was so peaceful & quiet. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Our hosts were very responsive & easy to connect with in the event that we needed something. We (3 college friends for a girls weekend) really enjoyed our stay here! Lots of little details that were appreciated for a cold November weekend of hanging out - snuggly blankets, a basket of slippers, autumn decor, and a coffee cart. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was adequately stocked and everything was very clean!

Great getaway!

This place was wonderful. Peaceful and a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. Main bed was a little softer and kind of rolled into the middle but some of that is preference and I had just threw out my back right before coming so preferred something a bit more firm. We used the twin beds the last couple of nights and that worked much better for my back. Can’t say there was anywhere we would have rather stayed.

Perfect girls getaway!

The barn was the perfect setting for a girls getaway retreat weekend! We cozied up by the fireplace, cooked meals in the well-stocked kitchen and took a little outing over to Hudson. It comfortably slept the four of us between the bedrooms and the sleeper-couch. 10/10 for a charming and welcoming setting!

Work Retreat

We had a small work related retreat. Great location. Nice and quiet & a special spot for quiet collaboration in the living space. We took morning walks to the beach & cooked a couple evenings. We also visited Afton, Hudson & Stillwater-all super fun. Great stay & would return for sure. A special spot for sure.

Quiet getaway

We loved awaking up and seeing the horses every morning (my girls are obsessed with them) and the friendly barn cats. It was in a very quiet area but close to lots of activities. The hosts were very responsive. The kids had fun playing foosball and ping pong. We would definitely stay again.
