Charming Sundrenched Historic Downtown Area Condo
Centrally located in the CBD and within steps of the French Quarter, Convention Center, Warehouse District, Harrah's Casino and streetcar lines, you will find yourself perfectly situated to make the most of your New Orleans visit.
Whether you are here for business or pleasure, you won't waste any precious moments waiting for an Uber or trying to fight your way to any events, because most venues are in walking distance of the condo.
2 bedroom/2 bath apartment in a historic 1800's era property located in New Orleans' CBD.
Stainless steel appliances (DW, Microwave, Fridge), granite countertops, cherrywood flooring, in-unit washer/dryer, and central HVAC system. 12' windows bring in plenty of natural sunlight.
Centrally located in the business/tourist district. You'll be in walking distance to the finest restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, nightlife, and so much more. The area is extremely walkable and the expense of a rental car is not needed unless you plan on excursions outside the city. Uber/Lyft is more than sufficient.
Master Bed: 1 Queen Size Bed with Memory Foam mattress, ensuite bathroom (Tub/Shower Combo).
Guest Bedroom: 1 Full Size Bed (Memory Foam) with ensuite bathroom (Tub/ Shower)
Living Room: 1 Queen Size Air Mattress, and 1 Sofa.
40" Flat Screen Television
You will have full access to the apartment, and of course the common areas of the building. Do NOT attempt to access the Private Rooftop (Opening the rooftop door will set off the centrally monitored alarm. Police will be dispatched.)
Have questions, problems, need restaurant advice, I'm a phone call/text away.
The condo is located in the Picayune Place Historic District, a small rectangular area wedged between the Warehouse District, Canal Street, and French Quarter historic districts in downtown New Orleans. The Picayune Place Historic District is noted for its unparalleled collection of intact 19th century commercial buildings, predominantly in the Greek Revival style.
The French Quarter is a mere two block walk away. The House of Blues, Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden & Insectarium, Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, Bourbon St., are all within walking distance.
For those interested in French Quarter Fest, Satchmo Fest, or just about any festival located in the FQ or Riverfront, we're as close as you can get without actually being in the FQ. During popular events, your walk back to the condo will probably less time than waiting for an Uber. (I recommend bringing a small collapsible wagon to load your folding chairs and blankets for the walk. Get there early to secure your spots in front of the stages.)
Walk the opposite way, you'll run into the Warehouse District/Arts District with its collection of art galleries, boutiques, bars, clubs, and museums. The popular World War II Museum is a short 10 - 15 minute walk down Magazine St. Try brunch reservations at Meril (Emeril Lagasse's new restaurant), grab a iced cold brew and a cup cake at Bittersweet Confections on the way.
If you're coming for Mardi Gras, the parades roll down Canal St and turn a block away from the condo. You won't have to go far to get to the action.
The Garden District & Uptown are easily accessible by streetcar, bus, or Uber.
Streetcars, Buses, Ferry, Taxis, Uber/Lyft are easily accessible from the apartment. Pedicabs are always passing in front of the building for those who like a bit more wind in their face.
The Canal St. and St. Charles Streetcar Lines are a short walk away.
Want to catch a bus to check out the boutiques on Magazine St? The bus stop is on the corner.
Want to catch a Ferry across the Mississippi River and check out historic Algiers Point? A leisurely stroll to the Ferry Terminal is all that's required.
Taxis are plentiful. Uber/Lyft wait times are usually under two minutes.
Bicycle rentals and Segway tours are right outside the door.
I recommend bringing a comfortable pair of shoes. It's much easier to walk especially during busy festivals/events.
Driving in? We don't have on-site parking, but numerous parking lots dot the neighborhood.
**A seperate Identity Verification, Security Deposit, and Rental Agreement will need to completed prior to completion of the booking. The process is online and fairly seamless.**
